Re: The Good Place

Agree! We really liked it, and can't wait to see where they take it next. Super quirky, super creative, and they don't take the typical direction with any of the character arcs which is a welcome change from typical sitcom writing. I also liked that it's not heavy at ALL, it's just focused on being ...

Re: How to metal?

I don't have any specific advice, but here's something general that you may have thought of: Look for guitar effect presets that are designed to get the right feel. And here is a Google Search for famous guitar tones: https://www.google.com/search?q=famous+guitar+tones+settings&oq=famous+guitar+...

Re: Waves NX virtual mix room plugin

I tried the demo and it's ok, though I just kind of had to go on faith that it would result in a better mix... and the headtracking is a gimmick in my opinion. If you're mixing you're going to try to sit in the sweetspot, not move around the room really, so I dunno why I'd want the thing to emulate ...

Re: Recs for web site building

I'll respond, but tomorrow. Need time to go look up what's on the site. I didn't use a template, really, because they didn't seem to want to apply to a "band portfolio" web site. A band blog, sure, a concert promotion site, sure.

More later,

Re: Recs for web site building

Squarespace is swank. I use their competitor Wix for my band: http://magrocksdc.com

If you have the budget, it's an easy way to get a nice site without too much effort if you have at least some minimal design skillz.

Re: Fun-A-Day 2017

Allow me to contrast your "fun" with this midi piano version of "Somewhere Out There" from An American Tail that my mother roped me into making for my niece to sing at her school talent show.

Re: Recs for web site building

Need more info to provide good advice.

What is your budget for getting it built?
What is your budget to maintain the site monthly or yearly?
What is your web-building skill set?
