Re: Look At The Awesome (Thin Air Reviews)

BSS - This is one of those songs that reminds me of a lot of stuff "Heroes" by David Bowie ... "Green Tambourine" by the Lemon Pipers ... I think I like the song more than the recording. It's one of these things where I'm not liking it as much as I feel like I ought to because i...

Re: New Music Friday - 9/14/18

The Low album wasn't what I was expecting at all. I'm not really familiar with all of their catalog, but it seemed out of character for them.

Artemis by Andy Weir

I borrowed this book from Glennny a while back and finally got around to reading it. While I had the book for months, I read it in a couple of days. It was an easy and engaging read. Where the Martian was science fiction, is book is science fantasy and it is a fun story about life on the Moon. The d...

Disenchantment

Is anyone else watching Disenchantment on Netflix? This is a new cartoon from Matt Groening, so if you like the Simpsons or really Futurama, this is right up your alley. I'm a few episodes in and while it isn't the greatest TV show I've ever seen, it is a fun watch. It has a lot of the same voices, ...

I'm happy to drum for these songs!

Re: What's your favorite DAW?

I agree that Logic is a great value if you already have a Mac. I've used it and owned it but never really felt comfortable with it. I'm sure some of that is being a Cubase user for nearly 20 years. I switched to Logic from Cubase, which I never quite got comfortable with for some reason. Its keyboa...

Re: Deals On Gear and Software

Today's SDotD is Yamaha MX49 for $300. I'm always looking for a good MIDI controller that also has some sounds on board in case I'd like to use it without a computer. This has been on my watch list for a while, and on another day I'd probably buy one. MX49 is a 49-key music synthesizer which combine...

Alone

If you like survival competition shows, this is one of the best. Now in season 5, contestants from previous seasons must survive alone in Mongolia for as long as possible. It is really a crazy endurance test to see how long these people can stand isolation and starvation. I've been hooked on this sh...

Re: URL up for grabs soon?

that seems like a lot for something that hasn't been used in 15 years.
