Re: Free Plug ins
The Ampeg SVT-VR classic is great. I use it all the time on both real and midi bass.

Songfight Live 2022 IRL Interest Poll
Hi All,
Some folks have been talking about an in person SFL this year. Before anyone starts planning an event, it seemed prudent to gauge interest. Please answer the poll question below and then feel free to elaborate in the thread.
Thanks!
Ken

Re: Community Check-In and Feedback
I've been thinking a bit lately that having so many places for community like Slack and Discord dilute these message boards. Are we sure we want to move away from this, or am I just being old fashioned?

Re: USB transport and/or mixer controller
Some of my googling pointed to being able to map anything in Cubase to midi, so you could also buy a midi foot pedal or use a keyboard to trigger different functions. I expect this depends on how big of a problem this is and how much energy/money you are willing to spend to solve it. I was going to ...

Re: USB transport and/or mixer controller
It looks like Cubase does still have an iOS app: https://www.steinberg.net/cubase-ic-pro/ I know you don't have an iPhone, but maybe you've got an iPad lying around?

Re: USB transport and/or mixer controller
I vaguely remember being jealous of one that @JB had that was wireless, so you could take those controls away from your computer while you were recording. I want to say it was called Tranzport or something clever like that.

Re: USB transport and/or mixer controller
I kind of forget why I stopped using it, but either it had issues or it just got in the way. Maybe I ran out of USB ports? I still have it, but I haven't added it to my current set up. I'd probably be just as happy if I could map those functions to my keyboard. Hell, maybe those functions already ar...

Re: USB transport and/or mixer controller
I used a Presonus Faderport for a while and really enjoyed the external transport controls. I couldn't get into the fader or any of the fancier features.

Re: And if I lie then may God (Strike Me Down prefight)
I had trouble coming up with a topic for lyrics, and I had trouble with the music. Then I had trouble singing. Not my best work, but the best I could do this week. I also thought this was a tough one lyrically. I even read through the lyric thread for inspiration. I think one of the better ways to ...

Re: Don't hit me with a guitar (Brace Yourself reviews)
Berkeley Social Scene: The guitar tones are sweet – nice variation in the playing/panning/placement. The chorus is simple but the harmony and call + answer in it goes a long way. I prefer the chorus over the verses. Love the guitar solo. Mixing is superb. Nice song. That is really nice to hear. I u...

I hope you get that tooth.
I've been reading more, finding solace and escape in fiction mostly. I would also like to be more active in the new year. I also want to learn something. Maybe take some guitar lessons or something.

Re: Songfighter Videos on YouTube
I had a lyric video made for Winter Wonderland by Berkeley Holiday Band, which was basically a Tiny Robots/Berkeley Social Scene project we did for fun 10 years ago. Feel free to add it to your holiday playlists or whatever.
