Ok, if we're on a deadline I'll post these in chunks. I was going to do them all at once, but I changed my mind. If the deadline approaches, not everyone will get a review. i'm listening to each original before the cover. this is going to take a very very long time. 1516 does sober's texas - i'm not...

I like the singing, wish that the levels were better set to bring up the vocals.
Since posting I've got some advice on just how to do that, so I'll try to post a new version later in the week.

Hey Lunkhead, it was fun the time I wrote lyrics and you made a song. I think it would be cool to do a real collab sometime. Not immediately tho :)

Hybrid is an awesome album, and I've got a limited-edition version with an extra DVD of videos and such. Looking forward to watching that.

So, anybody that's had artwork designed for them for a CD.... for pay. What's the general going rate for this sort of work?
I don't have the faintest idea.

Dollar Bill and the Inkpoints I guess I don't get it. Leaves me cold. The song doesn't engage me emotionally at all. Musically it's quite ordinary. Ha ha, this is the same review I gave you for last week's entry, Jim! Tony: DB&TI is a collab between J$ and me. So it's different because I work o...

Right now I'm listening to The Skatalites - Ball of Fire. These guys are like a combination of (modern) ska and jazz. They were certainly around for the invention of ska, actually, so they're much closer to the original idea of it, I think :) They do an excellent live show too.

CD audio isn't aiff, tho. I think it can be, actually, if I remember right you used AIFF on a mac when you burn CDs. The CD audio isn't technically WAV either, as you only write the raw data to the disk after dumping the header info. AIFF I believe is the same, with different header stuff which is ...

My fiancee's dad works for IBM so we each got an IBM laptop. I like it a lot. I've only had problems once, and that was some nasty timing (live concert on stage)... might have been something weird with the comp "screensaver" sleep mode, which I should probably disable next time I have a co...

Stella Artois is the shit. It's much better from the tap than from the bottle. It does, however, have the peculiar distinction to be the first beer that my fiancee liked enough to order one of her own. I think I felt like I was beholden to remain more faithful to the original than many people expec...
