Re: The Perfect Prefight Thread (Ease Your Storm)

I'm not going to watch Clash of the Titans , not even for research. Ease your storm, dude. Ray Harryhausen is awesome. I will hear no anti-harryhausen sentiments. none. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9kmjW73-v4 ) edit: yes I know about the remake but I will pretend i do not because it did not nee...

Sorry about that. That was a bit rude. I've definitely been in the procrastination boat though. Look forward to hearing more of those solid licks.

Re: Double the Reviews for Half the Price(Double/Half Life Rvws)

BSS: Vote. Very nice. Banjo keeps this from getting too Bob Denver. I feel like the vocals could use a touch more reverb or echo since most of the rest is reverby. also one tiny tiny thought on the drums, they still don't sound quite right but honestly they sound great for 1.5 weeks in a studio tha...

Re: Double the Reviews for Half the Price(Double/Half Life Rvws)

Granting that, a "serious" song from me will have a very different sound from a silly song. Either way, I'm sad he didn't like it since I honestly felt like I turned a corner musically this week as far as composition and arrangement are concerned.

Re: Double the Reviews for Half the Price(Double/Half Life Rvws)

Internet Famous – 5/4, cool. Though I appreciate the effort to be different and more complex, it’s not something I’d enjoy listening to on a regular basis, though. Great production. Sigh, thanks. I'm beginning to think I just wasn't born to sing serious songs. From now on silly songs only! I'll rev...

I screwed up and sent one last night even though the due date is tomorrow. I could really use some extra time. If I resend, will you accept?

Re: How much blood did you spill? (Let's Get Bloody Reviews)

Hi everyone! Reviews! Anni Albers Quilts : I could use a more interesting melody from the singing; the verse is pretty much same same same CHORUS. The drums aren't very interesting. Also you don't really take advantage of having two vocalists; you both kinda sing the same line. So key points: variet...

Just sent something in under a new pseudonym. Won't be calling in artillery anymore so if I get nothing I get nothing.

Also features a wide array of samples from The Internet Archive and the Freesound Project.

Re: The Lost Crosby/Hope film? (Road to Hana reviews)

Hi guys. Sorry about last week. It won't happen again. I'll probably retire this name soon anyway (ycch hate this name) and I won't promote that way again. Anyway, I'm listening to the stuff and here are my thoughts. Amelia: Your chorus vocal is much more fluid and flowing than your verse vocal, whi...

Re: Ready the polygraph! (Keep All Your Promises reviews)

You don't like people saying "you"? That can make songwriting difficult, especially with this title, and I'm not sure why my song was singled out for it. I didn't mean for it to apply to just you; it had happened several times already but your song was where I began to notice it was a rec...

Re: Ready the polygraph! (Keep All Your Promises reviews)

You got it right the first time! Ive had some comments that my production needs to be bigger, and then Fortune's Favorite says it doesn't need the bass, drums, or strings. My reaction? I dont mind. The different perspectives just give more depth to the reviews. Well that's funny. My perspective on ...

Re: Keep All Your Promises

A Poem By Fie, Keep All Your Promises: Between a blood red glass of wine and 1:00 am. Between white sheets and a white comforter put into the disarray of an abrupt awakening, he found conviction. He got out some wine, And let his thoughts go back to January February and the nipples are ripe, hard an...

Re: Do you promise to enter this week? (pre-fight)

In response to: FluffyMikeB on Twitter "I want very badly to write a 5+ minute epic. But would anyone listen to it all the way through?" Unfortunately probably not. Unless you actually record an "epic". If you are going to take an out of tune guitar, and a drum loop and some ran...

Re: Back to the drawing board (Well, reviews)

Hey, thanks, Jon Eric! It's my first submission and I wasn't sure how mean people would be. When I heard the overall professionalism of many of the entries, I immediately discounted my chances of winning this week. I'll be delighted even to be in the top ten. I'll come up with some reviews of my own...
