Add Reminds me of something… nice recording, chapter reference clever Andre Was Here At Midnight Odd placement for the vocals in the mix - need to check on speakers, but all of the mix is sort of off. I'd bring the guitars into tighter alignment, unless the idea was to make it should like two singe...

Klownhole – Are all your songs about writing the song you are performing? This is boring and seems to have no point. This is the last Klownhole song I am going to waste time on. If you only count this one, yes. I'm sure that I am not alone in wanting you to post your thoughts on what separates a so...

Klownhole What is this exactly -- Death Metal, Dark Metal, Black Metal? The Rumsfeld sample is quite appreciated, though those words are some of the most quoted and trusted to ever come out of that failed leader. There is nothing more true than "There are unknown unknowns"! None of the ab...

Klownhole - Oddly enough it's not my kind of thing. It's to metal for my tastes, and (clearly) not the kind of metal I like (I.E. Black Sabbath). I'm having a love/hate relationship with the vocals. And if you're going for modern metal or Metalica you've got it down pat. It fits that cattegory to a...

Aaron Price Sounds like a field recording of R Stevie Moore. I love the hum in the right channel ... is that the recording device being picked up by the microphones? Adnoisium Not sure about the flanging. Not sure about the vocals. Might be more effective with a better accordian patch. Andrew Ayers...

Hot anticipatory fuss! I haven't heard the songs yet, but: _________ - I don't like the reverb. What's up with that guitar tone? Nice change after the 2nd chorus. Is that a real marimba? __________ ___ __________ - Dude, did you record this with an electric box of fiddle faddle? A little on the nos...

I'm going to wait until after the fight to apologize. At this point I'm still getting ready to crush Hoblit's entry.Meatwad wrote:Klownhole is in. But I must issue a pre-fight apology for our entry.

Real Dissonance
Klownhole - heavy! i love the way it's just out of tune enough to get the dissonant 'beats'. it makes me a little queazy and i dig that. :) it's a little too long though... That's actual dissonant goodness, courtesy of the flat 9. I just love that sound, and when I played the tune on the piano for ...

Klownhole - Except for the fact that it's too fast, I'm really happy with this. Not the best song in the fight (sigh), but the Stan Ridgway vs. Sebastian Bach over Sleep vibe works as well as can be expected. Also, note the wall of basses in the chorus. Who needs guitars? Apparently not Klownhole. ...

Actually ran through all the songs this time... First time in weeks. From the top: Ballstomonte - Apparently the technology does not include ID3 tags. Vocals are a little low. Is the didactic anticonsumerism ironic? Big Mountain Fudge Cake - Short and sweet. Reminds me of R Stevie Moore, but not eno...

I think that this is the first time has said that not understanding KH lyrics is painful. It's normally the other way around.

Picked this up at Goodwill a while back - at 37 cents, a good deal. Not as funny as some others in the travel humor genre. I would recommend the Cherry-Garrard book, which manages to carry an entirely inappropriate chin up tone all the way through.

Just listened through the entries Basket of Hands - Needs hands on the mixing. The Simon & Garfunkel lift is the most interesting thing in this. The Divorce - Might get my vote. Catchy and well recorded. Flying Brick / Dark Liberty - Vocals could be higher. Not really grabbing me. Klownhole - Th...
