Do other AADers agree with Mr. Heuristics? It's not OK then to see potential song titles beforehand. Is it OK if someone else compiles a list and I don't see the titles until the day? (hopefully Dec. 28). Anybody want to give me some titles? Maybe it should just be a concept ablum about a pound of c...

To H. Inc.- I looked around and I found your idea generator after my last post. I also found some song name resources. I am thinking of documenting my AAD experience on video so that the AAD arbiter doesn't think I broke any rules (even though some rulerbreaking AADs are on the list). Is it OK if I ...

Yeah, I know SFers had done them, but there hasnt been any discussion about it lately. I might do one between Christmas and New Years. Wasnt there a thread that just gave song ideas? Like it would say "write a song about eating a pound of cheese" or other things like that... I think I woul...

Are any songfighters doing AAD?? Doesn't seem like it from this thread. I was thinking of doing one later this month. Any suggestions, etc? Or is this a dead art form...?

I am just now reading this thread. Personally, I liked the 3 song format. I reviewed more fights, and I especially liked that with more choices, there always seemed to be a title that jumped out at me each week. I am just wondering what people perfer- 2 or 3 fights.

Nearly Burned the house Down Reviews Liechty- The intro noises are interesting. Probably not you on the violin. OK, now this part is early Beck collaborating with the Verve. Pretty amusing. B Bell Green- Kind of a lot of the same thing. The solo is a nice distraction. But then you do the same solo a...

Bonjour Mon Ami Reviews Matt Glossy and the 8x10s -Matt and I worked on this for a while last weekend. Or should I say, Matt did most of it after I told him which songs I wanted it to sound like. He sings, plays guitar and keys, I played the bass, drums, and slide. The mix is odd and muffled, but I ...

RE: Puce's review for Squirrel Damage I think Puce really hit it on the head with his review and I am glad someone mentioned it. I challenged myself to have a song that had only moog and drum machine, and that's what I did. It took me a couple hours, which is way way less than any other song I have ...

Ya know, I haven't spent much time on the boards lately, so I must have missed the discussion about why there are 2 song titles this week. Kindly clue me in.
I will have to talk to the other squirrel damage folks, but we are likely in for "shaving in the dark"

Shower Scene Reviews Johnny Grippo - Water. The beat isn't doing much for me. By "beat" I don't mean everything besides the vocals- only the drum machine. I like the sparseness on verse 2. An interesting song about an underrepresented topic. B- Tony Hightower- I like those type of descendi...

For Squirrel Damage, I have used all "real" drums, except for "In Full Effect". I have gotten somewhat decent results out of my micing setup. I use either an AKG d112 or a real cheap "san juan unified school district" mic that I got when they got rid of their A/V equipm...

Song Fight stats

If I had space on the web, I would post it there. But I don't. I started to track how I was doing from week to week on SF, then that evolved into a spreadsheet. From there, I started to keep track of the winners every week. Now I have a sheet that can be tweaked to show winners by date, name, etc. I...

Chaos v Order Revues Caravan Ray- Cool noises on my little computer speakers. Melody goes well with the music- ba ba--- Vocals are a bit too processed. Good synth loop dealie. Can't really hear what you're saying. A good mix of organic and digital. B Hentai Kitty Death- is it the Pulp Fiction soundt...
