Hi - I just played and enjoyed both of them. Hats off to you, KA, for putting the song together that way. Sounds nice. The original was one of the first songs that I heard here, and I like it better now after the re-interpretation. Thanks for doubling the enjoyment! - Paco

Apology

I want to offer a public apology to Phunt Your Friends as I had inadvertently left them off of my review page. My handwritten notes are not pretty and I am also a bit of a daff. I believe in fairness and have inserted the original review as it was intended for the whole world to see. Again, my since...

VW - Reviews

This is my 5th review. I listened to each song twice yesterday, and again this morning while taking notes. I will listen many times again before voting next week. My first car was a beetle with 3 forward manual gears and no clutch! Anchors - Hip enough for a commercial and as party slogan rock. Try ...

Mr. Garfunkal is correct: "I volunteered once" should become one of your personal creeds. This can apply to your regular duty as well.

I had a 2-year enlistment in the Army from 1984-86. Yeah, I'm an old bastard. It can be a 24 hour a day job. There are many good things about the service, and many bad, with the best for me having been the comradery with guys I will always love and remember. Career-wise, there are plenty of 'in-hous...

Kweep asked: Don't know if you meant is as such...but I take this as a big compliment Oh yes I mean it as a compliment. I don't think that it sounds like them per se, but soon into the song I just ...heard it. I like the song very much and enjoy it as is, meaning I don't think it would necessarily ...

I use three different amps for recording and home use. Tophat Portly Cadet - Articulate and most commonly used. late 70's/early 80's wooden Crate w/ a 12" - Flat and good as 2nd amp in a stereo set up. I believe the speaker is an Eminance. Pignose portable - Skanka-rific. So ugly it's sweet and can ...

Safety In Numbers: Reviews

This is my 3rd review. Pummel me back in next weeks fight. I listened to each song three times over the past three days. Hostess Mostess - You too can be a diamond. Could benefit from some instrumental punch. Kill Me Sarah f. TVIYH - Good scratch-pad for a potentially good moody song. Double time dr...

This is my second review. I listened to the songs three times each over same amount of days. Look for me next fight to initiate me into the fold. Chin Music - Not as paranoid as me. We should remember this one when we're sitting on the rubble of what once was. Eclectic Spoons - If the voice decayed ...

A Tear:Review

This is my first review. I will submit myself as punching bag for the "Covered With Bugs" fight. I've listened to each song three times so far. Book Club - A tight song w/ tentative vocals asking for a solo instrument (guitar, sax) during the space provided. King Arthur - Better singing Jerry Garcia...

Bush was apparently not very amused by Coldert's bit. I tuned in to C-Span in the middle of the broadcast, and was surpised to see that Bush was actually sitting right there. He must've been squirming, as he made a hasty exit out of there afterward. Of course, it was WAY past his normal bed-time.

Guten Tag - At the risk of receiving some slappage, I tell my tale. As recommended, I downloaded LAME. I used its tab to rip a WAV file off of a home-burned CD of mine, specifying 128kps. Fine. It squished it all down, I listened to it, e-mailed properly. Then I noticed on the properties that it is ...

MP3 process for an idiot

Howdy. I am pleading ignorance and am perhaps worthy of scorn, but I must ask for some direction. This is what i can do: record my songs on a Roland DAW. I can transfer them to my computer and burn CDs. I have never gone beyond this point, as I have never needed to. Can somebody point me to a 'how t...

I am Paco Del Stinko

Greetings. I am Paco Del Stinko. I have been listening to the songs and reading the posts for a couple of weeks now. I did'nt have a favorite or must-see-daily website until I bumped into this place: I love it! For many years in the 1990's, I wrote songs title first, then 'filled in' the rest. I cer...
