From a less than stellar new guy: I hate to sound defensive, hopefully explanatory. I know that I'm no musical genius, but hope that I can contribute or offer something here. Whether a riff, tone, suggestion, mood. etc. I entertain no thoughts of winning by vote count, but rather winning by learning...

I don't think that I'd like to participate in the scenario above, but I did my best by removing one from the inventory. With an order that is, not lifting one from the pile.

Generic wrote For what it's worth, I liked your "Stairway to the Moon," certainly won't let you stop me from listening to "Hit by a Train." I gathered that you enjoyed the song, and am certainly glad that you did. I enjoyed your review of it and also your entry as well. Perhaps I should have said "...

Just in case anyone forgot to bring the stink, I submitted an odiferous ditty for Hit By A Train . (please don't let that keep you from listening to that fight though) How, you may ask, am I certain I did what I claim? Why, I received a letter from the Fightmaster himself saying that I sent him....s...

Stairway to The Moon - Reviews

Let's try this again - I lost the reviews moments before submitting. I liked everything in the fight for something, and thought that it was a great fight. Ben Krieger - Excellent (bass heavy but that's OK) production, playing, arrangement. I look forward to having my ass kicked by you many more time...

Mr_Lostman - I recognize that avatar. I ran home, literally, from school in the second grade to watch his brother race every day! Good luck with your first entry!

That's gonna be a great show. I'd like to be established enough to have participated, which must make many people cringe, or at least attend which is a very remote possibilty. Great art work, by the way-I actually recognized most of the folks depicted even from my short time here on Songfight! Good ...

"In A Roman Mood" by Human Sexual Response. The singer veers towards annoying occasionally, but this record stands very tall today with great playing and writing. I nominate "Land Of The Glass Pinecones" as one of the greatest songs ever created.

I have a copy that appears to be made from a video store copy. It's a bit hissy in the begining but really not bad overall, not really DVD quality. I would be glad to make a copy and mail it to you, somewhere where maybe you don't want me to know that you live or whatever, as I can't see doing it ov...

Saint Gratus - Reviews

I thought that this was a good fight and am glad that I was included, regardless of whether I was able to stand tall among giants or not! Beatnik Turtle - I like the no bullshit drive of the song. This could be being played by a band, poolside, in one of those teen movies or TV shows during a party ...

In The Van - Reviews

I enjoyed all of these songs for at least something. Interesting that many were short although that is not a complaint, merely an observation. Anarchy In The KKK - I like the rawness of the song and its attitude but it might've packed a bigger punch if it were a bit tighter. Fun. Any Ideas - Should ...

Saving Throws - Reviews

I'll try to be more direct here than in previous reviews. I like all of the songs and enjoyed the fight. Carpetburn - This threatens to not hold hold itself together at times yet does. Love the melodies, guitar tones and playing, instrumentation and dynamics. One might go mad if it didn't breathe in...

I've long thought that George Bush is like Ronald McDonald: He's a spokesperson. He doesn't make the hamburgers, he just sells them to you. Or crams'em down your throat. Although I am for a woman as president, Hilary in office might be too close to a dynasty. You can put Condy in prison though, not ...
