Re: Nur Ein XV Final Round "Pistols At Dawn"

Congrats Jon Eric!

Strong competition this year, I do not envy the task of the judges. So many fantiastic songs, choosing which to eliminate is an impossible choice.

Great work everyone!

Re: Song Fight Live Online 2020

Assuming the other event that was going to prevent me from making it this year is also cancelled for the same reason (as I strongly suspect it will be), I’m in!

Re: Song Fight! Is 20 Years Old!!!

I've gotten plenty of reviews that were harsh, but I don't think I ever got one that was wrong. To me that's part of what makes this a great community.

Start with the next title? Sidefight so as not to flood the main fight?

Re: Song Fight! Is 20 Years Old!!!

Such a great community, so many memories. Went to the SongFight! presents in late 2003 at that weird venue above in an industrial neighborhood near 280 (is my recollection?). I remember Brother Machine rocking the house, and Son of Supercar being so loud they forced half the crowd outside. Epic. Att...

Re: Rest In Peace

Director Joel Schumacher passed at 80 after a battle with cancer. I remember seeing St. Elmo’s Fire as a teenager in the mid 80s and it made a huge impact on me. The breakup scene where they argue about who gets which albums in particular has stuck with me. NO SPRINGSTEEN IS LEAVING THIS HOUSE. Res...

Re: Rest In Peace

Not sure why it didn’t make the news (OK, I know why it didn’t make the news), but I just read recently that Annie Glenn died last month (COVID). Arguably did more for the American space effort than her husband John and just an incredible advocate for humanity. Rest in peace. https://en.wikipedia.or...

At this rate we're almost in sidefight territory...
I like that idea. Would we all be given the same output and see who can make the best song out of it? Or does each of us get our own uniquely generated output?

best worst idea: make music the way you did 20 years ago

(do I even still HAVE a copy of Impulse Tracker?)
I am tempted to take up this challenge…

In another thread, this looks really neat. https://polyend.com/tracker/

Re: Who wants to collab with the the DeepOrb AI?

I have questions. Will the vocal melody be MIDI as well, or will the human provide it? Can the human replace a MIDI instrumental track with one played by a human (maintaining the notes as much as is physically possible on the instrument)? How much song structure should be kept? Is it acceptable for ...

I would have been so tempted by that Vox deal if it was available in the UK.
That’s funny. I hate all these regional restrictions in general, but of all things, the Vox deal not being available in the UK. Amusing.

Also to Lunkhead & irwin: I have an SG and I don't really like it... :\ but I don't really like Teles either, so you may enjoy the SG more than I do... other than the terrible neck dive mine suffers from (partly due to heavy neck/partly due to terrible strap button placement) even with "weights" in...
