Re: Give us some (Love In The Time Of Reviews)

A lot of these songs started in nice ways — but then didn’t go where I wanted them too. Sort of like 2020. Jerkatorium That stereotypical sticcatto piano generally infuriates me — but it really works in this song. Verse delivery is really good and a great chorus. There’s a ton of really great stuff ...

Love in the time of, By Gaping Maw I like the sweetness slowly drifting from the sun, I like to taste the rose aroma in my nose and on my tongue, I like the way the melody is sung and I don’t think that you’re like anyone, no. Positive Grid is giving away its Bias FX 2 lite guitar amp sim. Just started playing with it, but it sounds pretty good — especially for free. The Dregs, By Slither — based on a very sad but very powerful (and true) story about a woman in her 30s, abandoned in a parking lot when she was an infant, who recently found her birth parents through DNA. A powerful reminder that no one gets to write your story but you. I picked up the pieces that ...

Right town, wrong address, by Slither. “Listen to me, kid. You know we’ve got a lot of life to live But I don’t know that you know what you’re doing yet,” she said. “You’ve got to … figure it out. You’ve got to … figure it out. Go ahead and get busy now, come back to me when you know what it’s abou...

Re: You're making me uncomfortable... (Personal Space Reviews)

This is the most I’ve ever heard people count into their songs. Mostly these are first-time listens over coffee on Saturday morning, though I listened to Cow Exchange, Futureboy and Darkanon a couple times. I’m handing out votes like they're candy at Halloween. Third Cat Lovely guitar. Might be nice...

Re: Personal Space

Here's some slither: I used to stumble like a drunk alone and lonely with the head of a skunk a wasted wasteland of a man, I didn’t understand, I kept my head in the sand I stroll through these years with a glow but I don’t know how I got here, no I’ve lived my life longer with you than without you,...

Just wanted to say that phlebia track is really well done. Definitely achieved what (I assume) it set out to achieve. Great ominous plodding vibe.

Re: You must respect it (Personal Space prefight)

Be careful. With vibraslap comes great responsibility. I used a vibraslap in Corvette just FOUR TIMES and got ... vibraslapped for it. And then the vibraslap. Makes me wonder how often in a song it can be used effectively. I think maybe the spacing is more important than the sheer number of times it...

Here's an idea, kids (that I'm not going to use).

Write a song to yourself with the title I Used to Know You Better.

I know, right?

For some reason Emma's YKIWYSI (submitted on the weekend) didn't make it up in the fight. I've resubmitted it to the fightmaster, so hopefully it makes it up.

So listening again, yea, I think it needs another part to be a "proper pop song." It could come right at the end of this structure and go ... somewhere ... and then back to the chorus. It's pretty!

Re: Answer to the antlers in the (Young Buck Reviews)

So – Young Buck is a really annoying title. Maybe that’s just me thinking that, but hearing it over and over in these songs is grating. (And yea, I wrote a song and sang it too.) Sorry, just a couple reviews of songs I had thoughts about. Pigfarmer – I far prefer the acoustic intro part then when th...

That Ken's Super Band track has a really lovely sound. Great vocals, love the drum sound. Very listenable, great work. I hope there are plans to write a bridge or some additional part, but great.

Edit: oops, I think you did write a bridge and I missed it. Reviewed too quick.
