Re: Never Was A Cloudy Day (September Reviews)

Just a couple points on something that struck me in a song. BUT KIDS: for the love of all that is good, fix the tags on your mp3s so they show up on a device. F'real. Jeff DeSantis: This song would be played during the montage halfway through Rom-Com. I dig it — sounds like a real song. Maybe switch...

The Kraken Lives doing Beat on the Brat is one of the greatest things I've ever heard. Pure gold.

Still definitely doing this, but won't be able to hit the Sept 1 deadline. Summer's busier than I expected. Later?

Re: The pain, the pain! (on a scale of 1 to 10 reviews)

Sorry — only have comments on a couple songs that struck me. Berkeley Social Scene This is a really great song. Everything sounds great. Nice laid back drum sound, nice thick bass, great solo near the end. I know you've taken flack for the "Is it a 3, is it a 10" line, but I actually like it. The ch...

Re: Next title/prompt

Under "What do I get if I win?" it currently reads "Bragging rights." Can you change that to "$10,000?"

Re: Next title/prompt

But from an artistic standpoint I disagree with having the have the title of the song being preset, it closes way more doors than it opens Jesus. If you want to write a song without having your artistry limited, then think of a title and write a song -- you know, the way everyone else in the world ...

Drunk Season

Hey, y'all. I apologize if this has been brought up elsewhere, but Drunk Season submissions don't seem to be appearing in anyone's individual artists' pages. Being the selfish person I am, I am most interested in getting Slickitude's updated, but I checked a couple and they all seem to be having the...

Re: Bad Pick Up Lines (Shot Down Reviews)

A lot of songs really use the title well. I only have thoughts on a couple: Berkely Social Scene: I know it's a complete coincidence, but the intro riff really reminds me of minute 2:56 of Gert's Canadian Girlfriend (seriously, you should check it out). Yea, I know. No one wants to be compared to Ge...

I edited my post to add Tall Walkers, for what it's worth but ... I was just looking at the name that came up on my ipod. It wasn't exactly sorcery.

Re: You See My Reviews First, But Not If I See You First Rev

Just a couple reviews. I don't have thoughts on all the songs. Caravan Ray: Great lyrics. Great song. This is the single that gets them to buy the album. Sell-out. Paco del Stinko: Fantastic. Really like the double time hand claps in the chorus, and the multiple guitar solos are great. Excellent end...

A couple thing about a couple songs: American Boyfriend I liked this enough to tell you about some of the things I didn't like. 1) Canuck Nookie: I've got to agree with Jim of Seattle on this one. Lame. Canuck on its own is really out-of-date, but the combo is just unbearable. 2) And you say you can...

The Hate Noise track is the best thing I've heard on SF in years—except for that noisy mess halfway in the third quarter.
