Re: Stomach For It

Stomach For It - Elaine DiMasi I needs must win you to my side, I needs must win you to me! To spend such nights without you sends a hopeless chill right through me Yet I have not the head for this. Mayhap I've not the heart - I've not the stomach for it: nor any other internal part. Indeed I am of...

Whoops, I didn't even see his post wedged in between there. Oh well. Anyway, isn't the pianica the same thing?

Re: Fear of a bad song (A Scary Thing reviews)

Good job on the accordion solo. Harmonium solo is pretty safe Actually neither of these is the correct instrument. Anyone else want to hazard a guess?.....there's a prize of a vote for the first person to get it right  A melodica? Made of plastic, articulated with a little piano keyboard, has...

Re: Fear of a bad song (A Scary Thing reviews)

Andrew Reist - The beginning is short on singable melody, but a bit more comes later, which it needs. The hook "too scared to move" is just ok, same with other lyrics, added energy in the structure does some of the job needed to help. It was good to put in the more reaching melody line later. B. El...

Are we allowed to make up our own next title now, too?

Or is that "getting our panties in a bunch"?

Re: What?!? Another fight? That's Scary! (prefight)

Well, this would be up by now, but: 1. there's no art. 2. there's no review thread. 3. BLT's late-ass entry isn't in yet. Come on people, this is a group effort. SPUD Now it's up to BLT and some brave artist out there on the Interwebs. Maybe Spud should threaten to use BLT's avatar as the album art...

It's the riff from Take On Me by A-ha. Ususally played on a keyboard.
Did you ever know that you're my hero? by the way, what a fantastic music video.
Darn it. Now "Take on Me" is stuck in my head.

Re: Zagat's Domain (Shoelace Soup reviews)

Big Crouton - Best soup-recipe song of the fight. Way to write a love song! It just kept getting better, and it was definitely the outro where I toggled from "this is good, yeah?" to "OMG this is GENIUS". vote! Ford's Theater Disaster - Loved the sound and the grit, and the vocal delivery ("you're ...

Re: Better use lube (In the Tank reviews)

These posts got my vote: Jeff Robertson and the N-C'ers - Liked it because it's so firm-sounding. Lyrics and structure all hit me right. Leaf 62 - I didn't expect to like this at first hit but it grew on me. Something about the delivery, "armor penetration in the tank"! Charisma vote from me, plus, ...

Re: FAWM transplant here (psst! another girl!)

Hi again all and thanks for the welcome! @Spud, there's an auto-Bday thingie? Nice. FYI, I don't play guitars at all. If you hear guitars, then I've borrowed a guitarist from their real life for half a day, showed them a lead sheet and some scratch tracks. Then probably I dragged the mic stands over...

FAWM transplant here (psst! another girl!)

Hi all! Heard about SF from the boards at FAWM. I was going to check you out "sometime", and it finally happened a week or so ago. I was griping with my ex-husband about recording software, and he complained that the current SF hook was "shoestring soup" [sic] and that he couldn't think of an idea h...
