Re: Will you review my song? (The Proposal Reviews)

Sending some "Cliffy" congrats from Europe;
I suppose you're feeling like this:

"Congratulations and celebrations
When I tell everyone that you're in love with me
Congratulations and jubilations
I want the world to know I'm happy as can be... "

Re: Review A Little Bit More (Love Me reviews)

My votes: Sure: all D's (Durand Durand, deetak, Dutuva), Maggie Kanuka, PiGPEN and Slats. Else: Rik G., Evil-E, roymond feat. BLT, Noel, Hostess Mostess for liking their songs more and more. Also Melvin (first impression: well, some ordinary radio tune, but after listening some more times... yeah, i...

Love Me...Reviews... Songs which I like from the start: Durand Durand - Best band name. Best song. Hope you win that challenge, brothers. It's got soul, it rocks and some cool wind playing. Great soul vocals (though maybe a bit too loud in the mix). Hope you will collaborate more often. Congratulati...

Heine - cool solo at the beginning. this sounds like it'd be fun to play. Yes, it was! Heine: You said there is a german version? I'd like to hear it. I like this song. Yes, same story, German words - you can find it here . (Called " Noch ein kleines Stück mehr " - Ooops! Can you read the umlaut?) ...

Re: Sad, Somber, Strange, Mysterious(Elegy for Industry Reviews)

Thanks for the link. I actually bought a Boss OS-2 a few days ago though, heh. I hadn't tried that plug in though. Does it sound close to the real thing? Well, I don't know exactly. But the plug ins sound pretty much like a friend's Marshall amplification with his Boss effect. You'll be hearing it ...

Re: Sad, Somber, Strange, Mysterious(Elegy for Industry Reviews)

With a lack of good distortion effects for my guitar, I would up filtering the rhythm way too much since the high frequencies seemed to clash with the piano. Hi coder, last weeks I spent some times checking out the song fight forum. I finally found the lyric archive and the introduction to new play...

What a great fight! I feel happy to be a part of it. Ross Durand - Good song. Everything fits. I like this organ very much. The Anarcheologists - You are the biggest thing since powdered milk, baby for me it's true... Are you sure you aren't Budgie??? My favorite tune! The only thing to criticize is...

After submitting my 6th Song Fight I finally found this thread. Maybe I should've scrolled down earlier... Hi, I'm Andrew Heine from Germany. I know that some of you have already noticed my teutonic accent. ;-) When I was searching the internet for a song competition to participate, I discovered SF...

Re: Industrious Songfighters Wanted (prefight)

I recommend my "Violet Wants it Her Way," my "House in my Head," and/or my "What a Horrible Thing to Say" to start with. Those are probably my best songs, though my "Elegy for Industry" doesn't sound much like any of them. I love your "Violet", it makes me want to vote for it - but too late. FBF's ...

Elegy for Industry (Heine, jan. 2009) Every day is just the same, I guess there's no-one else to blame. The conditions aren't that bad: These fancy screwdrivers - the best I've ever had. What else got me captivated here? A steady job, no future fear? It's the cash, that modern ball and chain. Anoth...

Rattlesnake (Heine, nov./dec. 2008) 1.) Once in a famous garden, two naked people lived so happily Love & peace was all they knew, a state of perfect harmony. But wicked Lucy didn’t like it, masqueraded as a snake, looked into their eyes and got them paralysed, and rattled oh so sweet: „Just come, ...

I'd be a perfectionist about something though - are you doing "na na na" or "la la la" or both carefully chosen on purpose? Choose! Well, when recording it I tried both, but preferred the "la"-thing. But the distortion, well, maybe distorted my consonants :? But because I knew, what I was singing, ...

A very merry Christmas (belated) and a happy new year to everyone!!! Barfknecht - Good production, nice melodies. Billy's Little Trip - Fine chorus with very fine vocals. Cabin Fever - Wow, nice playing. Fine melodies. Good progression. And a great slide. All that makes me VOTE. Cell Block E Musical...
