I'm happy to see things are going well here at GoM HQ. And I'm looking forward to hearing it all tomorrow. But we are only half way home, we're still waiting on (if I'm incorrect on any of these Eddie can republish this list with corrections): Sven Mullet Jim Tyrell c Hack Roymond Jon Eric AWHAM Blu...

Kimmy D ( a top ten contibutor on J$'s list ) wants to get back in the game. But all her lyrics for New York are obscene. But we love New York. What to do? We New Yorkers don't mind a bit of obscenity. 42nd Street may have gotten cleaned up but it still ain't that clean. (Plus, most of the filth ju...

I always hear about these things too damn late to change my plans. But since I get out of work at 6 and I'm only 3 blocks from the Knit- if you wanna meet a fellow SF'er before the show, just send me a PM.

I recently completed a noise album for this [Tromein | 8 tracks | 78:56]. Pumpkin Buzzard also rocked out an album in about 6 hours [American Jellyfish | 10 tracks | 20:12]. I don't have the sites up for them yet, though. I'm curious to hear the Pumpkin Buzzard one. When you all get together, the r...

Hey Spud, The whole archive thing has been awesome and you don't get enough thanks for the great work you've done. The whole Suave/Noise/Youth thing was a goof and we didn't think of the future ramifications (the archive wasn't even a blip on our radar). So hey, leave that. Let it be a sign to futur...

I'm sorry that I asked. Yikes.

If it was such a hassle, why have a thread devoted to it?

Hey,

It would be great if you could put the "niveous & johnny" song under "transatlantic fight club". And could you also consolidate all the Suave Noise Youth songs (suave, noise, and youth)?

Hmmm. I can find a bunch of links for Nelly vs. Grange Hill but no 50. But I'll keep looking. Meanwhile- Spin Magazine listed a mash-up album in its best albums of 2004, Danger Mouse's "The Gray Album" aka Jay-Z's Black Album vs. The Beatles' White Album. And it's an internet only download, so here'...

OK. I'm willing to give the extension. Hey, there was one last year too so it's tradition. But when should it be due? The original date was the Winter Solstice. The new date should be a holiday too. So, the due date is now January 10th , one of the best holidays ever- Peculiar People Day. Sober- sen...

I'm working very very diligently on my list. I've been spending every work day listening to each SF from the year. I'm currently up to July's fights. When I'm done, I'm going to compile a gigantic list of my favorites (my way of making up for a lack of reviews from me this year).

"Long Way Down" (a Michael Penn cover) I love that song! Very underrated, IMO. It shows how g^2 (guy + guitar) can be so good if done right. Niv, your recording skillz are really improving. Get a pop filter (or make yourself one out of a coat hanger and pantyhose), and don't get too close to the mi...

Seeing as problems are springing up everywhere (even I might be late as I blew out the right channel on my 4-Track), I think an extension would be a good thing. Plus, Sober Irishman wanted to be a last minute addition to the GoM. So here's the deal: If you can get me one more band into the GoM to be...

I say screw the reality show and run with Leaf's idea. A death metal "Devil Inside". An ugly "Beautiful Girl". A blazing "Guns in the Sky". This reeks of potential. "Kiss the Dirt" would be the absolute best.

Once my beloved Tascam is fixed and I can record again, I'm going to do my second AAD to celebrate.

Dre, I don't think it's you. I think something must be up in Crap Art land. There hasn't been a new AAD listed there in quite some time.

Go for it Glenn. Go for it Fluffy. And whomever said INXS hadn't done anything substantial in a while, I disagree. Up until MH's death, INXS was still putting out good music. Just the other day I was listening to some old cassettes and found what I thought was some old INXS. Then I quickly realized,...
