Hey Glenn, I concur on the Bacharach/Costello. The album is absolutley brillant. CTB or DDD would be fine with me. I think you'd dig "Honky's Ladder". It's a funky tune with lots of sweet slide guitar. Here's a link to the Mars Volta tune: http://boss.streamos.com/wmedia/universalmotown/universal/th...

Hmmm, I wonder.

Jute, since you read the book, do you feel there's a point where the flow of the book shifts? Is the epiphany that the Danielewskis had something you can sense in the book?

But don't feel bad, I left off a lot of people like Josh Woodward, Jack Shite, HInc (solo), and Future Boy. Th...

Poe is Mark Z. Danielewski's sister. One day while cleaning out their parents house, they found a box full of tapes. They were recordings that their late father had made. For years, both of them had had issues with their father, as can be seen on Poe's first album "Hello". Upon finding the tapes, th...

An example of "shopping list" lyrics would be Kapitano's "Goodbye Monster". It's a list of horror movie characters and other horror related things.

Poe's "Haunted" is my absolute favorite album. I desperately need to read "House of Leaves" so I have the complete experience.

When this thread appeared I thought it was cool. Little did I know how consumed I would be by my task. Insanity, insanity. And the worst part is there are a few more bands I'd like to include on my list. But some part of me desires to get this list out already. So here's my huge Wishlist. And if any...

Best thing ever.

I've got myself a pair of 'em. A 5 year old and a 3 year old (with the same birthday). My kinderlings are my greatest joy. Any day where life is bringing down, work has stressed me out, and it feels too dark outside; I come home and see my sons and everything is great again.

Yeah, the poll is unnecessary.

I also wanted to say that after hearing the Troublemaker remake, I am a huge H & the H fan. The song was so beautiful, it gave me chills.

I would be 1000% into doing this if it weren't for the fact that I just finally got to start my science fiction serial last month and I have no desire to switch gears. (Though I'm probably going to write that many words this month anyway)

Any fans of Cube or the two Ginger Snaps movies here? I love all 3. Cube is twisted and Ginger Snaps is such a smart take on a somewhat tired theme.

Welcome Marcus. I just wanted to tell you that "El Scorcho" was done, not as a part of last year's GOM but as a result. Jute Gyte made an offer that if anyone covers Burzum from his list, he would cover a song of their choosing. Burzum was done and the result of Jute Gyte doing a murderous cover of ...
