Yeah, I'm going to try and make it stick this time. Life has finally put me in a place where I can start being proactive instead of completely reactive.

Re: Pedal to the metal (Corvette reviews)

Hoblit: Welcome back. This riff says “corvette” right off the bat. It’s great. I need more drums, though – I can hardly hear them (especially the snare.) In fact, the only place I could really hear the snare was in the last three seconds. Thank you, Thank you, and yeah... I got a lot (A LOT) of ble...

Re: Pedal to the metal (Corvette reviews)

Very rare that I am the first to post reviews after a fight has been posted. I'm not sure if it is just because I'm excited about getting my toes back in the water or if things around here have slowed down a bit. But I've listened to the songs a few times now and here is how I feel about them: Berkl...

Re: Then I'm like "Brrrrrrrrraaaaaaapppp" (Corvette prefight)

Yeah...um... so I'm rocking your faces off this week. Whoa, awesome! Welcome back. Thank you, call it a New Years resolution of sorts. I'm finally found a place in my life in order to get back to my music. Life has been very challenging for me over the last 5 years (good things, bad things, work is...

Re: Corvette Lyrics

Corvette - By Hoblit You don't just stomp on my gas You have to feather it to stay in control You can't steer my wheel too fast Or we will skid, bounce and roll Into the darkness paying the ultimate toll But if you want to hop in and take a spin And let the wind paint your grin Just get behind my wh...

Re: Better Call Saul

Anyone else watching this? I was so late to the party on Breaking Bad, I'm trying to get on board with this right away. First episode is good. It has the same tension and shock of Breaking Bad, but also it's own drama. Probably going to be a really fun ride. I too was late on Breaking Bad but absol...

Re: Family Guy

Speaking of MacFarlane, did you know his sister Rachael (the voice of Hayley on American Dad) has an album called Haley sings? They did work it into the episode when Roger made the attic into a night club, lol. Her and her bro have great old soul voices. Get out of here with your inferior American ...

Thank you for the tips and clarifications, I'll gear my submissions accordingly. Hoblit: Thanks for the offer to sing, I hope that I can get my sh*t together far enough in advance to take you up on it sometime. Your cover of 15-16 Puzzle's "Unless I Change My Mind" has been on all of my i...

Re: Jerkatorium

The rules are always open for interpretation but I think the general interpretation is that yeah, that would be cheating. The spirit of Songfight! is to be inspired by the title, write and record a song within the given deadline. All from scratch. I'm not sure if you've lurked in the forum or not, b...

It'd have to be a double album. But here are four old-skool pieces that would just have to be on it. http://www.songfight.org/music/do_it_for_captain/echolayer-doitforcaptain.mp3 http://www.songfight.org/music/red_robot/frankiebigface-redrobot.mp3 http://www.songfight.org/music/firecrackers/jbb_fire...

And isn't there the obvious point in which a 3d printer couldn't print something the same size as itself? Did someone already cover this? Does Dudley get there in time to untie the damsel before the train?

Having never seen this thread before, my first suggestion was the first response in this thread with Louie Louie.

But the next one would be I wanna Be Your Dog by The Stooges.

And I have a friend who lives in the Portland area whom I would like to catch up with. Also, I don't think would be a hard sell to my near hippie wife. (or is it hippy? You know, the Whole Foods kind...)

Re: Jan 21, 2015

I've been really struggling with this over the last few years. I fell off of Songfight!'s radar as I started working in two bands, trading off music time for music time. But then the bands ended and I'm not kidding, directly after that...I mean just a week or so afterward, I met a girl. The girl too...

Frankie Big Face travels a lot and has visited me in Tampa on two occasions. I certainly owe him a visit and a baseball game or two. OH, and a bunch of years ago andre@midnight lived in Orlando and came out to one of my parties in Tampa once. We also traveled to Atlanta together for a Songfight! liv...
