Don't use them together. Use them separately to create greater dynamic in your song. One for the first verse, the other for the "sensitive, introspective" verse, then back to the first with added keyboards to beaf it up.

One week deadlines have kept me from participating lately [edit - my life is the keeping me from participating in the one week format]. But I've produced three other songs on the side, each of which required no more actual effort or time than I usually spend on songfight songs (one or two nights) bu...

If you saw David Bowie kick off the Concert For NYC after 911, you saw a seasoned performer deal with some major technical gliches without flinching. I doubt most even noticed. I don't expect anyone to be able to do that, but yeah, at least stop the band and start over. Perhaps she'll learn.

Hehehe - I really like this. Michael should be rightly proud! Are you offering it up for poss. inclusion on the comp? It would definitely get a push from me. I like the Blockheads-ish groove and your neices have nice rap voices in a baby Le Tigre kind of way. I might have inserted an instrumental b...

I haven't been reading much of the posts lately, but here's something I did last night and had our neices sing for their dad's birthday. Sort of specific lyrics, but fun nonetheless.

If you expect royalties from performances of your songs, then it makes a great deal of sense to have a hand in the publishing side of the business. Performance royalties pay 50% to the "artist" and 50% to the publisher out of the box. Things can then get real screwy, but this is the cleane...

Awesome, but this weekend is out. Tonight is another ICN segment and tomorrow a birthday song for my brother in law with his daughters.

BUT next week we should do something. Then of course Boudoir Bar the following thursday. Been very busy lately and some musical makeup time is due.

Knowing how he composed his studies for player piano I imagined he was targeting altered states. Well, that was the justification, anyway. There are some pianis...
