well, i'm not experiencing it anymore. i had been previously experiencing it this morning when i got up and before i posted that problem. ah well. nevermind.

i'm not sure what's going on but when i visit the main forum i see all the places with new posts highlighted. then when i click on one none of the threads with new posts are higlighted. and then when i go back to the main part of the forum, all of the other sections with new posts are no longer high...
