Cool, I'll have to check that out. Lovecraft is probably my favorite writer overall, along with Algernon Blackwood, C.M. Eddy, and, of course, that creepy looking guy in my avatar.

My mom had one of those Bontempi or whatever organ things which I would play around on at about age 5 or 6. I taught myself 'Mary Had A Little Lamb'. Played french horn in grade 5 band. Decided at about that time that I wanted to play guitar, mainly because of Black Sabbath and Cheap Trick and AC/DC...

Glenn: I actually like your version of 'Nobody Told Me' better than the original. (And I like the original quite a bit)

BTW, I know it's well past its due date, but I almost have a cover of 'She Said She Said' done. Should I finish it for this?

Agreed, bjam, plus the GoM is going on too, so Valentine's day would be perfect. Plus, it's my birthday the next day, so it would be like an internet bday present to listen to a bunch of ABBA covers. And stuff.

i'm looking for opinions on the mix in general. drums too thin? i was trying for a more natural drum sound than i usually get. the guitars also sound a little unbalanced in this mix - maybe a hair too bassy. Who the hell listens to drums, anyway? This song is fucking awesome, BTW. Needs s...

Okay, I guess I'm in then, and my four choices are:

1) Shells by Gandharvas
2) Blown Wide Open by Big Wreck
3) Angels by The Tea Party
4) Giant by Matthew Good Band

Pretty good choices, I think, and THEY'RE ALL CANADIAN. SUCKERS.

Here is your song, about 10 months late: Don't Believe A Word

I hope you like it. I feel much better now. This has sort of been grating away at my conscious for a while now.

I was already quite familiar with the Melvins tune (I love the Melvins) and, uh, yeah, I've watched my share of Benny Hill ;) The other one, didn't like it.

You can't cover the Melvins. It's just not done. So Thin Lizzy it was.
