Figured I should chime in to mention I have enjoyed reading these each day. I'm terrible at posting (I think this is only number 99 in nearly two and a half years), but I usually keep up with everything here on the boards. I particularly like today's question as it brought back a lot of great memori...

Well, if I sent the note off in time I'm in. As far as the time signature changes go...intro in 7/8, verses have two 5/8 measures starting the first and third lines before going to 6/8, chorus is all 6/8, and the break going back into the second verse drops in a couple of 1/8 measures.

I forgot to get back to this after checking on the scheduling details. The BeWells will be there this year. My sister now lives in Nashville, so I will be flying out from California for a two week vacation around the Tennessee area. I am working on scheduling everything with the Live event right in ...

This morning I put all the songs in a playlist and have been shifting them around throughout the day with each passing listen. I am sure there would be more movement given more listening time, but here is my current lineup with some quick comments. Overall, things are pretty strong; I would much rat...

I baked a cake for my US History class today, with " Atchison : The Best President Ever" on. Nobody laughed because my class is full of over-achievers that glare at me if I make a joke or sarcastic comment. Well they can't bake, so they can go shove their Hawley-Smoot tarrif where the sun...

The BeWells song wasn't working for me in Windows Media Player. :( Can you tell if it is a problem accessing the file or if it is something with the file itself? To save time this week and last I exported the mp3 straight from Logic Express using its default mp3 encoder. If it might help I can alwa...

Sister Cocaine by The BeWells Life had left me low on luck, lost and alone Another motherless child with no place to call home That old brick alley in the back of a buick bundled up and blue Stumbled on salvation, she was my only truth Through the stained windows and darkened doors There drifted st...

While I have not had time to rank or review everything, I at least wanted to say before the results and new details for round one are released that there is a lot of great work here. I have listened to everything at least a couple of times and my favorites thus far are Puce and Merisan. Also, the ze...

Let Me In (The BeWells) When you're ready let me know, until then I won't go I'll be right here waiting at your door If you have it in your heart to give it one more start You can find me outside on the porch Can't get you off my mind, but love is patient and kind I know that you may need some time...

Go ahead and include The BeWells (just me without my sister). My schedule is wide open until the middle of August and I finally have all my gear set up again. It's about time I got back to making some music. It was a fun challenge last year and I'd regret not giving it another shot.

After the first listen I am particularly enjoying Hostess Mostess, No Ghost, Thanks Glenny for the Frisbee, and Syd and Me. I'll get back with some reviews after giving everything a better listen. Are Grey With Vox and Pipefist supposed to sound that much alike? I'm hearing the same song for those l...

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to comment. There were certainly a lot of songs to get through this time. Here are my thoughts on the entries from this week. 5900-N5 - The percussion reminds me of the Droid Room on the Disney Star Tours ride. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but it giv...

Hello. Yeah, it's been a while, but unfortunately I will be delayed a bit longer. I had to dock a little ways up the coast due to some unexpectedly choppy seas last week. Hopefully after a few repairs, I'll be out on the water with the wind in my sails for a smooth voyage back to the harbor. So, as ...

This is the first year I'm skipping the festival. I guess I'm going to have to get my bluegrass fix somewhere else this year. If anyone is heading out there early tomorrow, make sure to swing by the Banjo stage. Every year usually during the 9 o'clock hour, Emmylou comes out and does a few songs for...
