Actually I may have a solution to songfight vs real life problem .... I read in the paper today that a company is marketing glasses at around £300 with a built-in, movement-balanced mp3 player in the stem, uploadable with 128 mb or 256 mb memory stick and a tiny earphone. Listen to music all day at...

The weighted keyboards Roymond refers to are not exactly "portable," except in comparison to other weighted keyboards. They're still a full 88-key thing, and weigh 30 pounds.

M-Audio's smaller spring-action keyboards seem decent, at least when I've played with them at Guitar Center.

ATTENTION NYC PEOPLE

I am suddenly finding myself in the possession of some actual FREE TIME. Anyone want to get together and collab/jam/subway-gig this weekend?

I'm looking at you, Roymond and Duncan and Niveous and even MC Frontalot and whoever else I missed. *intense staring glare*

The annoying thing about the way it's implemented is that 'nevada' replaces colon-P, when phpBB provides a perfectly good facility for defining NEW emoticons. So it could have been done with :nevada: or something.

I'm just annoyed 'coz I colon-P a lot. :P

Blah. I really wanted to see at least one showing, but work interfered with my ability to do anything non-work. Stupid capitalist system.

My point is just that you shouldn't spend lots of money validating the con artists' tripe, just so that you can feel free to delude yourself into thinking that things taste better. You'd might as well just say that waving your hands over the bottle makes it taste better too; it's a lot cheaper, and ...

The funny thing is that I never once mentioned Google in this thread. I don't appeal to Google, I appeal to the scientific method, which is a framework for determining whether something someone says is a load of shit. Anecdotal experience, which you appeal to, is still not particularly robust. It ca...

No, the laws of aerodynamics say that bumblebees can't glide through the air. But they don't glide through the air, they constantly flap their wings to attain their lift.

I hate that anti-science strawman.

ok, and then, there's this: http://www.dansdata.com/wineclip.htm See, that's what I'm talking about. That's someone who actually understands the scientific method. I'd uncorked the wine for a while before pouring it, to let it "breathe", but it was only breathing in the bottle; all of the...

Seriously, I laughed. But, as they say, the proof is in the pudding. Or the wine. I tested it on that occasion with 2 seperate bottles. Opened each, poured a glass. Placed the bottle on the WE for 20 min, poured another glass. ..... I'm telling you, there is a distinct change in the characteristics...

I don't. If it doesn't give you carpal tunnel and a severe case of burnout, it's not really worth doing, now, is it? (BTW, my entry was 50,100-ish words, and took all of two weeks. Also a lot of people seriously wanted me to take it to a short-run press and put it into hardcover form. I had no idea ...

2-get yourself a little thing called the Wine Express. It's a magical little pedastal you place your opened bottle on and it really "ages" the wine in 15-20 min. Noticeable difference in enjoyability of the wine. Approx $25. Common complaint on homemade wine, it's "young" tastin...

Damnit, yet another stupid "crap we're not going to be done with the game today" came up after all, so Happy Kerpuffle Fluff will have to remain unrecorded for now. Thinking back on all of my released songs, I guess "Chucky (he's so gay)" would be kinda-suitable for this compilat...

Man, I really need to get a faster processor. Right now, Fruity can handle 5 of those VST simultaneously, but not 6. Which doesn't really impact mixability, but does impact listenability while composing. I'ma be forced to write the song in a different program and just import each track as midi file...
