# Expert Opinion Fight Reviews Brown Word and the Big Whine : Is that a tuba? Wish the vocals were more easily understand in places. I also wished more interesting production choices had been made - just a straight up guitar and tuba and voice in the middle of the stereo field is pretty uninterestin...

Lots of time kicking around these days so, VideoFight? haha. Nothing makes you realize how wimpy. your computer is until you have to work on a video proje...

Hey thanks for the reply Lichenthroat! Much appreciated. Nothing objectionable at all - no offense taken (or intended with my questions to you either). Just curious and I understand better what you're getting at now. Thanks again!

Re: Near enough to perfect... (Bent Straight reviews)

Fussy Britches—Your execution on this is pretty good, but I don’t think this style of music usually works very well. The instrument tones fit an energetic sound, but the arrangement is more on the languid side, so it feels incongruous. Thanks for the review! I don't normally reply to reviews, cuz t...

# Songfight Reviews Amby Moho : Wow - Sgt Pepper enters SF! This is a real treat in every respect. I’ve only heard a few AM tracks and I’ve been impressed by your work each time. I love the way this slowly unfolds, like an octopus unfurling it’s limbs but taking it’s time. Great sense of melody and ...

Amby Moho : Love these chord changes. Vocals are great. Can’t understand most of them on first listen, but I actually don’t care - this is really sweet stuff. Puts me in mind of Flaming Lips - and that’s a compliment. This is really inventive. Great mix, great song craft. Gonna be hard to top this....

Re: Give us some (Love In The Time Of Reviews)

Wreckdom I like the textured opening. Dirty bass/guitar punch is cool! Dig the groove. Not a fan of the buried-ish vocals never quite seeming to land the notes, though I get that could be intentional. Gets repetitive after awhile, but doesn’t seem to develop any more interest for me. Gaping Maw is in. This punctual SF! turnaround means I'm only half done my reviews for Love in the Time of - which I'll finish tonight. Had to jump into recording mode.

Opinions are largely meaningless, especially mine. here we go! Hot Pink Halo Music is cute and lots of nice tinkly winkle bits and pieces in there.. but I find it all hard to figure out because the vocals are so big compared to the rest of the mix. The vox could use more variation melody-wise I thin...

Paco del Stinko First Words : Love that open ringing snare in the intro. What I dig: Overall sound and composition – fantastic. This is class PdS stuff – left turns all over the place. I imagine you love doing what you do – so good. That lead synth section is fucking awesome. LOTS to love hear. Gre...

Fussy Britches (me, Smalltown Mike and Leaf62) are up in this fight with a sweet little number that's sure to delight. :) Final mixing was today as I literally had to start tearing the studio apart 'cuz I'm moving this weekend. Finishing touches tonight and we're submitting. I suspect this will be ...

Chthonic Doom First Words: metal! What I dig: The riffage. The name. The killer switch from the riff to when the vocals come in. Unexpected and totally awesome. That the guitars and bass weren’t so distorted as to lose their percussive drive when the vocals came in. What I can’t: The ending seems p...
