RIP Pierre Moerlen

Post by roymond »

I missed this until a friend told me today, but Pierre Moerlen died of a heart attack in his sleep a few weeks ago. I saw him a few times in the 70s and loved the projects he was in or led. I highly recommend the Gong albums for the more trippy-prog minded.

As my friend said: a major loss in many ways, I felt he was one of the most musical percussionists who ever worked in rock music. He was certainly the best trained.
