Good thing he knew he didn't need a flag decal to get into heaven.

I’d say “rest in peace”, but I don’t think that’s what he’d have wanted.

Instead I say peace be with his family and I hope he’s up there with a cocktail and a nine-mile long cigarette, hanging out with his brother and his cousin and his mom’s sisters.

Thanks not just for all the music but for all the others you influenced in your time on Earth. Godspeed Mr. Prine. We’ll miss you down here.

Yes. Vale TBT.

Not sure if The Goodies would have translated into USA - but they had an absolutely massive impact on anyone growing up in Australia in the 70s and 80s.

My girlfriend and I come from very different backgrounds - her outback Qld, me the suburbs of a major city and we had very different childhoods. Watching old Goodies clips last night we realised that they were basically the only shared cultural reference of the past we had! ( she didn’t even watch “Countdown”!!!!)

Rest in peace, Florian Schneider-Esleben. So far ahead of his time, I’m not even sure if the rest of us have caught up yet.

Looking back - listening to Little Richard (and Johnny Cash) on Mum's Greatest Hit of the 50s album as a 5-year-old quite possibly started this whole lifelong obsession with music.

Oh man. This is really sad. This guy was pure positivity and wonder. Paul L. Vasquez, aka "Double Rainbow Guy" of fame from a viral YouTube video where his mind is utterly totally blown by a double rainbow, passed away.

The Double Rainbow Song that the Gregory Brothers remixed from that video is one of my favourite things.

Also Jerry Stiller, although that seems to have just been old age (at least no specific cause has been announced and he was 92).

Ughghghghg. Fred Willard passed away of natural causes at 86 years old. He was sooooo funny. We got to see him a couple times during the SF Sketchfest comedy festival, for a 20th anniversary panel and screening of Waiting for Guffman in 2016, and as a guest on Dr. Katz Live in 2018. This sucks. :(
