need a new wake up song

Post by signboy »

I've been waking up to Eye Of The Tiger. It's got that gentle guitar intro that nudges you into morning, then the 80's cheese connotation comes in and convinces you to get the hell up and kick some ass. Unfortunately, this is apparently the absolute #1 worst choice EVAR, according to M. I tried hold the line, rock you like a hurricane, iron man, and a couple others. nothing seems to meet the requirement of inducing a kick ass day. Any suggestions? 80's, Songfight! or otherwise?

Roger Daltrey's Days of Light. maybe? Pretty sure this is lip syncing to the studio version, but that's the one I'd use.

Steve Earle's Guitar Town might ease you into the day a little easier, if you don't mind country, but either song should be enough to give a person a reason to get up in the morning.

For a while my wake up song was Alright by SuperGrass. The bouncy piano kind of nudges you a bit before the whole song kicks in...

Would not be my choice, but you may be looking for Chop Suey.
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

great call on both chop suey and hazel eyes. K.A. and Ken, I'm not gonna slag your guys' suggestions, but some people seem to want to wake up with a big pastel smile. When I get ready for a good day, it looks like this:

I used to use You spin me right round (like a record), now I just wake up everyday ay 9:30 ... If you want something to kick your ass use "dry season" by haste the day. Usually I use that in the shower... I also listen to a lot of dub step in the shower

What about Danger Zone?

This is what I use - it is rubbish for it and I should change it

good call on the Danger Zone! I'll put that on the short list with Jump In My Car by The Hoff, and Jerry Was A Race Car Driver.
Also, yes you should change oot your rubbish wakeup song. You'll never get an erocktion in the morning with that one.
today was the techno jeep song:

not bad, but a bit noisy first thing.
