Niveous, that also reminded me of a side fight idea I've had rattling around in my skull for quite some time. Remember the Axis of Awesome 40 songs with the same 4 chords vid? (mentioned in your vid above) I thought it would be cool to take 4 chords from any old famous song, even the 4 chords in that vid by AoA and people make an "original" song out of them.
Kind of a play on Song Fight common where we all write to a title, except we all write to the same 4 chords.

I'm not good at initiating side fights, so if anyone is interested, please run with it. I sense epicotamus results.
I agree, chord progression fight would be a great idea.
Heh, I did that once. The arpeggios from my "Fight the Sea" are based on the chords from "Crazy" by Patsy Cline...

Hell, about half of my 'fluffy porcupine' songs used the same chord progression.

Wow, that guy is nucking futs. lmao. I always wonder if people like him truely believe what they're talking about or if it's just for the shock value.

Not to judge, but it's gotten to where I feel this way about hard right wing Christians. It's gotten to the point that I can't even stand talking to them for more than 5 minutes. I had to make an excuse that we (my company) are/is too busy to bid on a job last October. It pained me because times are tough right now in the swimming pool business. I was at a new lead as a referral and in the first 30 minutes I listened to how Obama is evil, gays are Satan's minions and we need to impeach the demon. The wife even said that the signs are here that the world is ending and went into a 10 minute babble about gas prices and the cost of milk, lol. I was DYING to ask why they were about to dump close to 80k into their backyard. But the thought of spending the next 3 or 4 months dealing with these people made me shudder. Plus I'm sure at some point I would have challenged them and their craziness. So I feel like I dodged a bullet.

Pretty nifty use of delay and hammering. But I don't get what you mean by "why this guy doesn't have a Stick"? I do call my surfboards sticks. But that doesn't work in this context either. ;)

I can't believe I forgot to post that here when I came across it a few days ago. Definitely check out the "Riders on the Storm" rendition too.

I had not seen the original before, so I watched it after watching the metal version.

No, the original is better. The metal stuff was just unnecessary.

The original is incredible. But the metal guitars pump it so hard and take it out of the techno arena and makes it rap metal, which I like. But then again, I love guitars. Machine bass and percussion do pound, but lose my attention fast. After a while, I just hear triggers going off and it annoys me.

This music vid is cool the way they made it. These are the guys that got famous on the tubes for their treadmill vid which is awesome, even though the song sounds like a Billy Joel rip. They really know how to use what they can afford to make a professional music vid.
