The piano player is a good point. Except the fact that they are generally high end precision instruments and don't need frequent tuning, like a guitar.
So if every guitar from this day forward is auto everything, then there wouldn't be a need to know how to maintain your guitar. Just hope your autotuner on your guitar doesn't go out during a gig or when you're playing the girl you're trying to win over the song you wrote her.

I really haz been (chord change of the devil)

See Ken? That. Don't make Jasmin's dad turn the sprinklers on you. :P

Perhaps not a widely known, oft imitated drummer, but the beats for "Whip It" and "Satisfaction" amongst others, are unique and as recognizable as any famous guitar riff. Sad, anyway, people dying too young of stupid cancers.

Besides music things I'm doing at the moment, this news is the only thing musically that matters to me right now.
Kim Deal leaving is much easier to take knowing Kim Shattuck is filling her spot on stage. Two of my favorite Kim's in rock. PLUS, we will most likely be hearing some new Breeders material. win/win ;)

The new Kim seems to be fitting in swimmingly.
....well, more like dog paddling, lol. But she'll get there. This is great! :)

First off, I think Black Frances would think it's great that ANYONE play songs from his album. So you shouldn't let it bother you so much.
And second, you shouldn't post your crimes on the interwebz. That's how people get caught!

can't wait to see/hear it. ;)

My great, great grandfather worked for the German cabinet maker Steinway from whom the NY piano maker came (you fix the grammer on that, BLT). And one of my wife's best friends is a Steinway piano relation, so I always got a kick out of that tie-in. Somehow. Strings attached. Or something.

Yesterday I read about a Virginia Tech mascot that really loves Nirvana, asked SubPop records if they could have "her" do a video shout out for homecoming. "'LET'S GO HOAGIES!' Or something like that." http://www.spin.com/articles/nirvana-vi ... ing-queen/

Today I see that in all of "her" kindness, Nirvana was happy to oblige. http://www.spin.com/articles/nirvana-vi ... t=article8
