Music for Misanthropes?

Links and other hanky panky that doesn't have to do with anything in particular.

Music for Misanthropes?

Post by pegor »

I've been trying to come up with an albums worth of ( fairly easy to learn) songs that feel like these:

Radiohead - Creep
Doors - People are Strange
Fleetwood Mac - Oh Well

Any others ????

I'm really attracted to these sorts of songs... so I compiled a big list :-) I missed the "easy" requirement when I did it, so not all of these fit. That being said, a handful of these are super easy (I'll star them)

*Flowers on the Wall - Steadler Brothers
RV - Faith no More
*Behind Blue Eyes - Who
How Soon Is Now? - The Smiths ("I am human and I need to be loved...")
I Just Wasn't Made for These Times - Beach Boys
*Bad Fish - Sublime
Umm... Eliot Smith in general?
*Basket Case - Green Day
Fade to Black - Metallica
Meloncholy Man - Moody Blues
Kiss Off - Violent Femmes
Jugband Blues - Pink Floyd (Syd Barrett) ... the lyrics aren't entirely misanthropic, but there's something very dark about the opening and closing lines...
