We will be playing Songfight inspired songs such as Direct to Helmet, Brown Boxes, and So Kind, Stacy (originally heard here by Carol Cleveland Sings). Also, we have an album that should be out in stores around the country, but if you want to buy it, you should buy it from us at a show because it's much cheaper that way. And, you know, if you come to a show please feel free to introduce yourself and maybe we can have a fun time together!

One of the Philly or West Chester dates I'll see if I can head over to. The one on the 17th I'll probably be able to make. Any other Philly Songfighter's wanna hang out before or after? And hey, this Friday's show is with Townhall? They played at my school last weekend. Pretty good stuff.

hey, do you have an address for this place? a websearch turns up two local joints with the same name. although one of them is in the burbs pretty far north of the city so i would guess it to be the other one, but i'd want to make sure. anyway, i can't imagine any reason why i wouldn't be at this show.

We'll try and catch you either at the Black Cat or the Talking Head. They're both pretty cheap venues, and it'd be nice to support our local(national) songfighter.

Yea!!!!

A screen cap of Spinto Band album playing in Rhapsody removed bc I realized I was unintentionally Nevada-ing the thread

I will still buy one anyway though.

Congratulations on all yous success. And Bar None is no slouch of a label. At least from the outside looking in. Great artists, Of Montreal, Architecture in Helsinki, Vinicius Cantuaria, et al. Speaking of which of which Of Montreal and Architecture in Helsinki were bothe here last week and I didn't see either, arg!

Maybe you could hook up with them and come down to Texas.

Also, somebody correct me if I am wrong, but is this a SF first? SF titles getting a label release. And three no less. Very cool to hear.

Hey I saw you added at Houston date. Never been to Superhappyfunland, but it is about a ten minute walk from our house, so no excuses for not going to this one.

I'll try to bring out some folks as well. Ha, its an all-ages show, so we'll be the the old people.

Something about this may have already been posted, but in the last issue of Entertainment Weekly, I saw a short review of 'Nice and Nicely Done'. They gave it a B+. I thought it was pretty cool to see The Spinto Band's B+ next to Jason Mraz's C+.

The Spinto Band tours the REST of America!!

The Spinto Band Tours the REST of America!

Yes, friends and family! Things are getting hot in here! We will be going into the "mid" and "wild" west and you should all come out because the band, Head of Femur, is also going to be there. Could you ask for more?

Furthermore, I must ask something of you all. We are in need of accomodations in most of these cities and it would be most gracious if you (or someone you know) could let six (well behaved, hygienically-conscious) guys sleep on your floor for a night. I know it's a lot to ask, but if you help us out, we'll gladly get you into the show for free and give you beers and whatever else the club gives us. Not sounding fun enough? We have board game(s).

Okay, on with the dates:

Aug 05 - Columbia, Missori
Aug 06 - Lawrence, Kansas
Aug 07 - Des Moines, Iowa (!)
Aug 09 - Denver, Colorado
Aug 10 - Salt Lake City, Utah
Aug 11 - Boise, Idaho
Aug 12 - Portland, Oregon
Aug 13 - Seattle, Washington
Aug 15 - San Fransisco, California
Aug 16 - Los Angeles ("The City of Angels"), California
Aug 17 - Phoenix, Arizona
Aug 19 - Austin, Texas
Aug 20 - Houston, Tejas
Aug 21 - New Orleans, Louisiana
Aug 22 - Little Rock, Arkansas.gov
Aug 23 - Nashville, Tennessee

You guys allergic to cats? Hell, it's a good reason to clear up some floor space in my apartment, heh. PM or email for the firming up of this, but I can fit y'all in.

Oh, yeah, this is for the Portland, August 12 show.

i have received girlfriend clearance if you guys want to stay with us on the 15th after the SF show. we have plenty of floor space and an extra futon. we live about 30 minutes south of SF proper, but right off of 101, which is a good start toward LA anyways.

we probably won't be able to make the show.

The day you are here in Seattle is when i will be in Boston for SFLive. Grr. (And anyway my floor isn't very big.)

Also, I saw you guys once at Knitting Factory when i was living in NYC and tried to say 'hi' but the only band member I could catch up with had no idea what the hell songfight was and said you guys were like a big amorphous blob and nobody knows stuff. And I missed all your good songs anyway because the dorks at Knitting Factory don't know how to make signs which make sense or know anything about who is playing where, and while I was waiting for the crappy DJ to finish so you guys could start up on the middle floor you were already mostly done with your set on the bottom one.

OH WELL.

So Carol Cleveland sings and his band The Spinto Band are back in a XCountry tour, supporting We Are Scientists and Art Brut...
i checked them out last night, here in downtown Orlando and their a great Live band... they performed like 2 songfight titles to a crowd of 150+.
Not to mention England's Art Brut Rock the fucking club down... We Are Scientists Extremely overrated, but that’s just me.

i highly recommended if they stop by your town. Check them out, and say hi to Thomas (CCS)
