P.S. My little section of the songhole should be empty now. And all my links on SomeSongs should be fixed. Hopefully, I didn't forget anything. Again, thanks muchly, Blue.

I'd appreciate it if my files could be transferred to the new server for the time being. I don't have much, so there should hopefully be no problem. Thank you.

I'm late in finding out about all this.

Blue, thanks again dude for songhole, it was totally cool of you.

Spud, if you could transfer my stuff, at least for the short-term until I get something else sorted, I would greatly appreciate it.

Indeed, Leaf, Sorry you were late.

OK Folks, here's the deal. Today, giving you a full nine days of grace period, Blue transferred DNS to the new server. This means that I NO LONGER HAVE ACCESS TO WHAT USED TO BE ON SONGHOLE, only what I moved, which is pretty much what I was asked to move.

The following SHOULD be there:

voice
sven
puce
obscurity
kni
glenncase
frontalittle
feldspar
erik
dt

There were two kinds of accounts at songhole previously, sub-domains and user accounts. Sub-domains are like this:

http://kni.songhole.org

User Accounts are like this:

http://www.songhole.org/~spud

I tried to put them back the way they were, but you users may need to take out the tilde for now, until I figure out user accounts on the new server. Sub-domains seem to be working fine.

Some of your sites are in good shape. Ken, for example, and Sven.

Some are not in such good shape, such as Frontalittle and Glenn. You may have to rebuild them somewhat, but your primary content (images and mp3s) should be intact. Some of the sites that aren't working used cgi, and there may be path issues, etc.

Please check your stuff and let me know if it is working. If it is an actual website, check to see that it works. If you are just using songhole for somesongs hosting, check to see if your links work.

Please file a BRIEF report below to let me know what is working and what is not. In the meanwhile, I will work on getting the user accounts set up and figure out how to get each of you access to update your stuff.

I thank you in advance for your patience.

Thanks, Spud.

subdomain access isn't working for me, and of course the user access doesn't have the tilde. Other than that, it looks fine :)

I've got some missing songs and my front page is gone, but I am just happy to still have some webspace! I will gladly fix stuff on my own when I have access to it, and will patiently wait to do so.

Thanks again, Spud! (and Blue too, for hosting it for so long!)

My stuff seems to all be there, though none of it can be accessed because the hyperlinks all use the tilde. Is that going to be fixed, or should I update all my links? I don't mind either way. I should be moving to some new webspace right after the holidays, anyway.

feldspar,

As far as I can tell, the type of account that I have has no provision for the tilde. I am going to have to give you a sub-domain so that you can access the space via ftp. When that happens, you will have two choices for url:

http://feldspar.songhole.org/yourstuffhere....

or

http://www.songhole.org/feldspar/yourstuffhere....

I hope this works for you. You WILL have to change your links.
