SongFight! Tour 2008: Seattle, April 5th

Set up live gigs with each other, announce gigs you're playing around the country or whatever, talk about how the show went, post links to recordings, etc.

SongFight! Tour 2008: Seattle, April 5th

Post by Spud »

Not convinced every date needs a thread, but here you go.

Saturday, April 5 8:00pm
Finn MacCool's
4217 University Way NE
Seattle, WA 98105
(206) 675-0885
http://finnmaccools.com/

Maybe, for cross-referencing purposes, each band should make a thread saying which dates they are in for...(NOT! JK! Please don't do it!)

And oh, we've got Octothorpe and Primitive Screwheads signed up so far. Looks like <strike>fluffy</strike> Sockpuppet is in as well, but <strike>he</strike> fluffy will surely clarify below...

Just saw Gleen's post that Spokane is on. Woooooohoo. However, Seattle is currently in limbo. Mad Dog and I went to see the bar owner last night, and he booked a freaking wedding reception on top of us, with their own band. Still trying to straighten this out or find another venue. Will keep you posted. We will make this happen.

Hmmm. Can't see their First Dance being done to Not Exactly Normal... actually I kinda can, heh.

Hip hip... huh?!? Heh.

Time to learn the chicken dance.

If this is still on for April 5th, I'm now free to make it, and would really like to do so. Any news, Spud?

I'll show up, to watch if nothing else. I have a feeling Frisbee could be persuaded as well.

Hey Spud, what's currently at The Steel Pig's old spot? If it's got a restaurant it's a potential venue, and if it's vacant you could maybe convince the property owners to rent it out for a night...

It appears that I may have a new venue for the Seattle show. Lunkhead, what name are you performing under. I want to get to work on the poster as soon as this comes through.

Anyone else? KMS? TFTF?

Hey Spud, we're trying to iron out some details so we can give our final yes/no on this gig Friday or Saturday.

Portland is a no go for us, sadly. Just not feasible. Still going to try for Seattle. Our attendance at the Spokane and Moscow shows are for sure.

ROCK!

Hey, folks. Anyone traveling to or from Seattle, please post your travel plans. We have some serious logistic issues surrounding Spokane and Moscow, and wonder what everyone else is doing. Perhaps you have room for some equipment, or a person... Thanks, SPUD.

I do not have travel plans yet! My most likely course of action is to fly to Portland, get picked up by some friendly person, then bum a ride up to Seattle, and then do the rest of the trip with some other friendly person (and pay for gas or whatever).

Borrowing or renting something larger than my clown car this year, so p++ will have room for a body and gear on the SEA-Spokane-Moscow leg at least. Mi casa's better set up now for pre-show practice/warm up of the PDX show (now with 100% real drums), if desired.

Travel plan: show-sleep-wake up-drive to next city-repeat (heh)

We don't have tickets or hotel or rental car booked yet, but our plan is to fly in Friday and leave Sunday, possibly stay at the same bed and breakfast we stayed at last time in Capitol Hill, and have a rental car.

Wow, that is good news. In not so good news, for us, Seattle is now looking as solid as I thought. We're still trying to work out the details...

I hate to be a flip-flopper, but we're not going to be able to make it. :( It'll have to be another time. Do you all want to have another show not too long after this one? I have some free plane tickets I can use but I have to get my act together and book the flights >3 weeks in advance. This time I only found out I could go a month beforehand, and I procrastinated too much.

Damn Damn Damn.

Yes, the original venue still owes us a show. We will get on that after the triumphant tour.
