Songfight NYC v2

Set up live gigs with each other, announce gigs you're playing around the country or whatever, talk about how the show went, post links to recordings, etc.

Songfight NYC v2

Post by Niveous »

There's been a lot of talk about wanting to do another NYC Songfight show. Details are being worked out... Who's interested?

Definitely, although I assume you already know that because of that one group I'm in.

I am! Some friends up in Boston and I were talking about going to NYC in the spring, so this is a perfect opportunity. As long as it's not on a crazy weekend where I'm busy for some reason.

Well, I just spoke with Ben Krieger and it looks like we will be doing SF: NYC in the borough of Manhattan at the amazing Sidewalk Cafe.

All things are tentative but it looks like we will be doing the show on May 17th. And it looks like we may have some international participation...

Yes - interested.

We are planning on coming to NYC sometime around April/May. We are visiting a friend of my wife's who lives in Manhattan - so the venue sounds good. Hope to have actual timing sorted out in a few weeks. Will let you know

Is this an all ages venue? I'm interested, and I'm sure Slats Jr. will be, too.

I'm scheduled for 12 hour midnights that weekend which is perfect - for me to call in sick.

I'll ask Ben if it's all ages. I know it's part cafe/restaurant so it may be okay.

EDIT: Did some research. Yes, it's all ages.

Can I consider this the tour part of the the album I'll record in February? In any case, I'll be there, obviously, and in better shape than my last live appearance. Sweet!

Not hot or a groupie but I'll be there -flights booked today, so if homeland security announces a threat level elevation, you'll know why.

So is this May 17th as in the Sunday? I'll have to book it back to Boston straight after to get back for classes on the 18th, but I definitely hope to be there.

Wow, all y'all are going?

And it's not until May?

OKAY OKAY.

It looks more likely now. I mean, I spend enough money on stupid shit as it is. What's a few hundred more?

Anyone want to share a hotel...if I end up going?
