Just noticed that the Expand Archive button isn't working, same with the Sort By Artist button. Might just be because of the server change.

This isn't related to the server change, but I thought this might be a good general purpose thread for music archive related posts. Anyway, I noticed that there is a "The Seamus Collective" in the archives, as well as a "the Seamus Collective". The links for both artists go to the same page, but the lower case "the" link shows only 1 entry, and the upper case "The" link shows only 8 entries, when the page they both point to shows 9 entries. I don't want to be too presumptuous and speak for The Seamus Collective but probably there should just be one artist listing, right?

People should use the same case for their band names every time they submit, I suppose, though it's confusing that the artist listing is case sensitive but the artistpage is not. (Note: I'm not a complaining, just making an observation.)

All the Del and del Stinko's are together when you open either of them up, but the couple under Stink, minus the o, are seperate. I didn't start the D to d, and although they may stink, I certainly didn't drop the o from Stinko! It would be nice if they were all under one giant blanket of stink, but it is certainly far from being a priority. It appears as though little d del is preferred by people. I have no idea what it means anyway.

I have recently consolidated as many of these as I could find. If I missed yours, and you still have multiple listings based on spelling, punctuation, capitalization, etc., post it here, and I will try to get to it.

Why does this happen? Either you change the way you spell or capitalize your name in your submission email, or JB misreads it when he types it. Yes, he types it. Someday, there will be a form, and it will be all YOUR fault.

In the meanwhile, bear with us. It will probably happen again, and I do this kind of clean-up from time to time. I have consolidated using the most common spelling of your name. If I have done this in error, please post here. If I have consolidated bands that were really different bands, please post here. I think you get the drill.

Spud - I sure hope that I didn't come across as finger pointing or snively. Hell, I have people come up to me on the street and tell me "it's all your fault." I tend to believe them! Thanks for even considering doing any of it.

Edit - And I just saw all the songs lined up under capital 'D' Del Stinko. That's great , and thank you for scratching any OCD itch that may have been surfacing! Capital D, from me, from now on. You hear that Horshack...Carvelli said capital D! Thanks Spud!

You don't know what "del" means? It means "of the" (it's a contraction). As such it is usually lowercased, but pick whichever one you prefer!

This has probably been brought up before, but what's up with the dates for the "It's Charging" fight? From the archive:

"It's Charging" was an inside joke between Narbotic and Drew. All of the songs were written and performed by Drew under various aliases. It just mysteriously appeared one day. It was never a posted title. I'm pretty sure the dates remain as Narbotic posted them in the archive.

The link to frankie's song in the fightmaster summary has some extra characters at the end, breaking it:

Start date for "They Control the Weather" is January 2007, should be 2008.
"Cute Boots," same problem.

In the Ten Lies fight, the Country Bumpkins and PiGPEN songs are switched.

Could you consolidate Sven Mullet and Sv(umlaut hell, etc) into one artist page? I'm sorry, I'm usually drunk when I send songs in.

Also, can I have a pony?

OK, look you assholes.

If you want all of your stuff to be under one artist, USE THE SAME FUCKING NAME each time.

Also, if you want me to go to the effort of consolidating the stuff because YOU COULDN'T BE BOTHERED TO REMEMBER HOW YOU TYPED IT LAST TIME, at least please TELL ME WHICH NAME YOU WANT IT CONSOLIDATED UNDER.

Jesus Goatfucking Christ.
