WSA archive

Post by furrypedro »

In the archive list it shows
The Worldly Self-Assurance (7)
and then you open the page and there's only 5 songs there. It doesn't appear to be updating with the noo shit.
I tried it on multiple devices so I don't think it's cos of my old, I dunno, cookies or whatever...

That is weird. I don't see an obvious reason for that, looking at the pages and raw archive data. Looks OK on the Jukebox though.

Is the archive builder still set up such that it manages to time out partway through? Whenever things like this happen I just run it from the commandline on the server so it doesn't run into time limits.

Only just realised this is happening to everyone, not just my own band. The list of virtues of pulling my head out of my ass every once in a while continues to grow!

Oh yeah. It looks like recent fights aren't showing up on any of the handful of other archive pages I checked. Doh!

I'm manually running it from the commandline since I bet it's timing out again. I'll see if I can find any simple ways of getting the code faster or at least making it reentrant so that it can go in batches.

I cleaned up the code a bunch, which actually made it slower (go figure), but also made it so that it would only rebuild artists which changed (which just takes a few seconds normally), and also made it so that if it gets interrupted it'll pick up where it left off. So we shouldn't have this problem ever again. I hope.

(Sorry, Spud.)

I see all the songs on the BSS page, but they aren't sorted by date. I think they used to be sorted by date...?

There should be date-based and name-based sorting. I might ahve messed something up.

[EDIT] Yeah, I messed something up. I'll work on fixing that.

[EDIT] I fixed it.
