Mick Sowry, my good friend and once upon a time Art Direction lecturer at uni, made this documentary ‘Musica Surfica’ a bunch of years back about expanding the horizons of classical music and surfing. I didn’t get a chance to see it at the time, but now the Australian Chamber Orchestra have uploaded the full thing to YouTube to watch for free. It’s really great and there’s a Paganini piece played about half way through that just absolutely fucking shreds.
