ok...ok I watched it on DVD, and I know that this is a sports movie, and thus may not be to the liking of this crowd, however, if any of you saw it, I'm curious on your reactions...


Personallly, while total Pro-American fist pumping partiotizm, it got me choked up...

Two favourite parts: (POSSIBLE SPOILER...)


When Herb Brooks makes the team skate lines until they are puking with exhaustion... through their whole training camp, he asked "what's your name, and who do you play for?" They would answer "Joe Smoe, and I play for Minnestota," or something like that. Well, they skate lines, and finally one player yells "I'm XXx XXX and I play for THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA." ...yeah...total cheese and I loved it.


When he brings in a ringer late in the training, and the ringer scores a big goal, but he cuts him anyway to preserve team chemistry.

It's a great movie for undertanding team dynamics when faced with a short term goal... I highly recommend it. Especially for the cheese.

um i was being sarcastic. i thought it was pretty dumb, actually.
but it's the only hockey movie i've seen unless you count MD2 which i think i saw at least part of once.

oh and by the way, i was like thirteen.
