DJango

Post by Billy's Little Trip »

I finally saw this movie. I never saw it at the theater, so I waited to buy it in bluray for my Tarantino collection. Personally, now that I have an awesome home theater, I don't even like going to the theater anymore, unless it's a super CG and special FX type flick. Django is the best movie I've seen in a very long time. QT just keeps getting better.

A great story (loosely based on the original) and has all the classic humorous Tarantino bits scattered through out, like a shootout with a ridiculous amount of blood. As in, 6 bodies shot, but it looks like it looks like they spayed the walls with red corn syrup from a firehouse. Or in a gun battle, having the sound of a missile shot and exploding, lol. He cracks me.

It's a bit violent for those that can't separate cinematic story telling from reality, so I can see the opposition. But in my opinion, it was well cast and well directed, only the way Tarantino can do it. So I give it two thumbs up!

I never saw the original Italian Django movies. But I think the QT version is maybe telling of how Django began as a bounty hunter. I haven't researched it, just a guess.

I loved it. The ending not so much, but everything else pretty much compensates for that.
The dentist rocks.

I know! He was my favorite character in the movie! *spoiler alert* I'm bummed that he won't be in future Django stories. The only possibility would be if he wasn't dead, came to and got out before the house exploded.*spoiler alert*

I loved the movie.
I also love how people now pronounce my son's name correctly.
Why are you adding an apostrophe?
It's just "Django", no apostrophe.

Heh, fixed. Not sure why I did that on the title, I didn't in the post.

Your son's name is Django?

Yep, he turned 6 yesterday. Check out the Anamoly thread, Django was born and Zipline win for the 1st time.

If you don't know Django Reinhardt, you should check him out.
