I've never heard this... and I can't seem to Kazaa it...
I'm curious to hear it, and to know why you'd think it's a good cover, although I may undertand that if I've heard it!

As far as Glenn's suggestion of Fortunate Son.. I've played and sung that song quite a bit... I might give it a go for you, although it' s a screecher!

I have faith in your ability to rock. I have seen you live.

It seemed to be a good match, I thought.

And the worst part is there are a few more bands I'd like to include on my list. But some part of me desires to get this list out already. So here's my huge Wishlist. And if any band fulfills a wish, I'd be more than happy to do a song of their choosing in return.
wow.. looking through this entire list.. i'd love to cover almost all of those songs.. i like your taste in music :)

we'll get back to you with a cover wish.

Well.. of course that's what I meant. look at the title. and then what i said.
I mean... *duh*.

DISSENTION IN THE RANKS!
STEEL CHAIR!
HKD'S ELBOW!

... bam.

and so in summary, i'd like to agree. with.. uh.. me. we're in on this one niveous. mushroomhead it is. none of the tabs i can find on it seem to agree though. time for musical ear to come out methinks. good thing is, in coverland, near enough can be made to be good enough. *YOSH!*

Funniest thing I've heard all day.

Best thing I've heard is that you guys wanna do the Mushroomhead song. That's awesome.

P.S. Leaf, if you wanna hear the Franz Ferdinand tune, just go to their website. You can watch the video there.

Every and any songfighter who cares to cover Duboce Triangle's "Down to the Atom" will succeed in putting a smile on my face by doing so. Even if it turns out bad.

Even if DT hates their own song.

http://www.songfight.org/music/down_to_ ... theato.mp3

EDIT: Here are the lyrics to this Songfight masterpiece.

Down To The Atom by Duboce Triangle

I'm going down to The Atom
and have myself a beer
'cause my dog's alive
and my girl loves me
I can see the sky is bright and clear
I used to drink around the corner
at a place they call the Cosmos Lounge
it's the dirtiest place there is
get blue just thinking about
all the songs in their jukebox
and the way they don't know how to serve a sloe gin fizz

I'm going down, going down to The Atom
gonna have 'em how I want 'em when I do
I'm going down, going down to The Atom
mean old saturn, he ain't coming back for you
(so why don't you come on?)

we'll take a walk down to The Atom
it ain't very far
don't need a car, or a skateboard
just a smile and a taste for
the tail end of a shooting star
and when we arrive
they're gonna offer you a stool baby
the pool table and a pitcher too
we gonna walk right past the Cosmos on the way there
we won't go there
no I wouldn't offer that to you

we're going down, going down to The Atom
gonna have 'em how we want 'em when we do
we're going down, going down to The Atom
gonna keep away from saturn, he ain't never gonna bother you

ROCK!

TRACK 1: THE SOUND OF MUSIC, performed by Octothorpe.
2. Maria, performed by 15-16 Puzzle.
3. I Have Confidence, performed by JBB.
4. Sixteen Going On Seventeen, performed by Frankie and Frankie's Wife.
5. My Favorite Things, performed by The Sober Irishman.
6. I don't really like Climb Ev'ry Mountain so nobody has to cover that. Or uh, Jim of Seattle and Madi. ;P
7. The Lonely Goatherd, performed by High Density or just Future Boy.
8. Do Re Mi, performed by ... uhn... I dunno... Josh Woodward.
9. I don't really care about Something Good either.
10. Edelweiss, performed by The White Hat.
11. So Long, Farewell, performed by Johnny Cashpoint.
I would do this if everyone was willing. I think it's a cute idea.

I wanted to post this sooner but with the updates to DCM have held me up a bit.

"Feed The Tree" by Niveous (a Belly cover)

I also finished my cover of "What Deaner Was Talking About" but it'll be a bit longer before I can post up that one.

But in the interim you can listen to one of my other covers if you want:
"Caroline" (a Concrete Blonde cover)
"When Doves Cry" (a Prince cover)
"Long Way Down" (a Michael Penn cover)
"I'd like to see 1984 redubbed with this in the soundtrack."- Furrypedro.

OK, Glenn, I can just tell that you are dying for a 20th song to cover - so how 'bout "5 minutes" by Twisted Kingdom? I know you could do magic with something like that.

Also, Prayformojo, do an all acapella cover of Jute Gyte's "Firebomb".
Also, Jute Gyte, do a cover of Prayformojo's "Secrets".

You have got bigger balls than Bon Scott to do "When Doves Cry". Of cousrse he died before it was written so you lose half a point. ANYHOOOOO I wanted to do an album full of covers. Why don't we have a link up to songfighters albums of covers? I guess I would need a place to post my songs then. Any cheap suggestions. Can you my darling, can you picture this?
