During FAWM my computer hard drive more or less filled up... I got a new one but I don't have a DAW on it yet... I'll get to work soon. Sorry.

Given the state of things, I'm not feeling so bad getting mine in so late, even the host is M.I.A. Haha.

Here's mine for Niveous:

(Silent Hedges by Bauhaus) https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ApdVB ... UXejmb_y4k

I'll email it to Chumpy as well.

That's great! Thanks so much! I saw him live in France in March and he played every single song except this one, it seemed.

Cheers! Since we're all doing it - ELO's "Shine A Little Light" for Glennny

Here's my version of Regina Spektor's song "The Calculation", for Micah.

Thanks for picking a bunch of great songs, Micah! I really liked all four of them, and hadn't heard any of them before this.

Man, these are all pretty good. I especially liked "Isabelle", though I'd never heard the original or any of the originals so far. I'd never heard the one I did either, but I really liked it. Had the same experience last year, I think that's one of the big appeals, discovering and dissecting a new song.

This is great, VV - I love your synthpop take on the song!

Glad you liked my entries - it was to come up with the list. I think that's always the hope, that everyone gets introduced to some new music they like. :)

Chumpy is currently judging AND submitting unofficial entries to the SpinTunes contest, so it stands to reason he hasn't had much time to post everyone's songs. Glad people have decided to post their entries here.

Here's mine for Jerkatorium - "Forty-Nine Percent." It was a fun challenge to adapt this very 90s-00s punk pop tune to my accordion style.

Heya folks, I regret that I've been totally absent from this thread as of late. I have no excuse for being lame, and I'm sorry. We recently finished our cover of Today's The Day by Inverse T. Clown for the Boffo Yux Dudes. We had fun with this tune, and I hope that Tommy and company enjoy it!

Thanks a ton Micah, I love your interpretation of 49%; a rousing zydeco version with great vocal harmonies. I've been listening to it over and over.

I would have praised it earlier, but I was too embarrassed to chime in until we got our song done.

An excellent interpretation of the ITC classic, guys! Very impressed.

I've been feeling guilty on BYD's tardiness with our gift as well. It's still in the hopper , but not there yet.

Yesterday was a little nutty. Borrow and set up the playback rig at 6. Back to work at 7. Dinner and review a lease agreement at 8 and back to start the show with 10 minutes to spare.

I'd love to comment more while the show is going on, but I'm usually too busy getting the next thing ready for graphics or ids that I get a glance or two after a talk up. I don't get a good chance to actually listen until the second play.

So, BYD song in process. Soon!

I, too, am sorry to keep my recipient waiting. I've had several false starts on mine but more pressing commitments keep getting in the way.

Well, @niveous I figured trying to guilt you into giving me my return gift during Nur Ein would be a fools errand, but I see it's over now, so where's my damned song? :-)

I'm not sure who was supposed to be my musical gifter, but I'd still love to hear whatever they made of my selection, should the opportunity arise.

That would be me. I’ve been meaning to do it and I’m sorry that I’ve been both busy and constrained with severe wrist problems.

If it's any consolation, I've been stiffed on most of the sidefights I've participated in over the past two years (including this one).

Ah, I'm sorry to hear that - no need to fulfill the Rites of Gift if you're musically indisposed! Hope it's not too serious, I've had wrist problems myself in the past and they're difficult joints to rest.

I think you may have some confusion there as I didn't participate in this GoM. But that's a nifty Bauhaus cover...

Do I owe you a song in the past? Which GOM year?
