I'm pretty excited about this! Not sure yet if it will be mandibles or just cybronica participating.

David Bowie - Kooks

Simon and Garfunkel - Patterns

Avril Lavigne - Anything but Ordinary

This last one I'm putting in because I really do love this song, and I would love to hear it done in a song fighter's style. German optional, helpful links below the song.

Thanks everyone for submitting their links for GoM - COVID-19 Special Edition! Official entrance is now closed, although anyone is of course free to cover any of these songs for any of the participants if you wish. :-) I am pleased to announce we have rolled a natural 20 on participants! A critical success! I'll be sending out the matchups shortly, which I randomized via random.org.

Yay! This is going to be fun. Now I just have to decide exactly how to approach this cover...to play it straight or play around with structure/tempo/genre? Probably the latter.

Step 6. Send the cover to "mikelamb" at "sheepsound.com." Deadline is 5 April 2020 by 23:59 PDT.
Do you want the file actually attached to the email (like a Song Fight submission) or would a link to download the file work better? MP3s or is another format preferable?

Either is totally fine as long as I can easily obtain the file. MP3 or FLAC is fine.

An extension is something of a time-honored tradition in these things :-) Anyone else feeling like they need some more time? Already submitted tracks can always be re-submitted later. How about deliver the songs the 11th for a bunny-day reveal?

For avoidance of doubt, consider the due date officially extended to 2359 Pacific Daylight Time (UTC-7) Saturday 11 April 2020. Songs will be posted the 12th.

I mean I dunno if a week is going to be enough for my brain/body to stop failing on me long enough for me to record anything, but I'll give it my best shot
