On you electric guitar, you’re a metal maniac, making your influences strongly be heard.
But yet you switch to an acoustic and is like you become some kind of sad lonely cowboy.
Talk about opposite ends.
That's interesting. I like the comparison, and it is definitely quite true.
On a side note, as much as I dislike the the product of yesterday's work, today I'm quite enjoying it. It's kind of a cool experience to have a bunch of crap instrumental music to listen to that's your own.

Whoops. Forgot to ask this - How long on average does it take for them to post your AAD on the site?

AAD/AAW and all that is a good idea. But the rules I don't dig so much. Too stifiling, too structured. In fact I can say I hate some of the rules.

I just finished up my seventh AAD. This one's called Hidden Powers of the Marshmallow Men. I recorded it with my roommate. He wrote the song Analyzing Faces.

I like this album. I especially recommend the songs Surviving the Sea Change, Ode to Marshmallows, I Floated Away, and The Secret of Life.

I hope you all listen and enjoy!

I have decided to try another AAD on Sunday 17 June. Anybody else want to give it a try? It could be SF-AAD-Day.

Right when I sat down to start on this, the band called to see if we could take a fill-in show. So instead of an AAD, I was playing at The Bad Moose last night. One of these days, though.

Wow, you're fast. I deleted that in like 30 seconds - I thought I was in a different thread, so my post made no sense.

It wasn’t easy forcing my myself to record this weekend.
But at least I got this to show for; my 7th AAD, and first one of the year.
Wanted to have a coherent album, instead got a bit of randomness. Oh well.

The last track is for Ken. some late night mandolin wanking.

I'm working on my AAD now. I have two tracks, one 4:20 and one... not completed... that is about two minutes. This is challenging, as I recall :)

Keep going, Bill! It's always worth it to do an AAD.

OH! And there's now a MySpace for my EP-a-day from early last year...

I do have over 20 mins of 5 tracks... two of them are instrumental improvs, though, and I still haven't done a Songfight track. I may or may not be able to do that.
Anyway, thanks!

Well, I didn't end up doing a Songfight track... I ran out of steam on recording stuff so I stopped after that 5th track. In case anybody wants to use my idea, I'll tell ya what it is in private ;)

But more importantly, if you want to hear my new album, "A Flash in the Pan", click here.
