Late on the bus, but I just finished listening to the Tiny Paws Bagpipes and enjoyed it very much. Excellent work there, J$! I would've liked to have written songs to those titles before I listened, but couldn't touch (as in wreak) them now.

Thanks, paco - glad you liked it! Feel free to use my titles. It's one of those grand plands I have had, get one set of titles for a whole bunch of AADers and see what comes out - but it's practically impossible to administrate properly

My AAD's...

Post by tuuur »

I came to the songfight site via somesongs, and came there via the AAD site where I heard Glenn's first one.

These are mine:
<a href="http://arthur.kamst.com/mp3/aad1/">Requiem for the western world</a>
<a href="http://arthur.kamst.com/mp3/aad2/">An Automatic One</a>
<a href="http://arthur.kamst.com/mp3/aad3/">Third</a>
<a href="http://arthur.kamst.com/mp3/aad4/">Cheap Mics</a>
<a href="http://arthur.kamst.com/mp3/aad5/">Bossano</a>
<a href="http://arthur.kamst.com/mp3/aad6/">Ain't It So?</a>
<a href="http://arthur.kamst.com/mp3/aad7/">Sink</a>
<a href="http://arthur.kamst.com/mp3/aad8/">After the flood</a>
<a href="http://arthur.kamst.com/mp3/aad9/">Silence</a>

Sink and After the flood are my personal favorites; the first and the last least so.

Just completed my third Album-a-Day mere moments ago. The album is called 'So, Be Yourself'.

'Prime Time' is one of my favorites right now, but I'm liking 'Sweet Canadian Mullet' too.

For now, I am tired. I need sleep. Seriously. Feel free to download the new album here.

ROCK!

The stream works, the individual links don't. You cut and pasted them from the previous AAD.

I can only stream the first song (AWESOME!) and even editing the other links following the naming method of Sweet Canadian Mullet doesn't work for the other tracks.

For anybody who's been watching, it looks like Tom did finally update the AAD pages (although maybe before Glenn did his). My "For Dummies" is there now (and the songs are still online) and I see Lord of Oats has one and probably some other songfighters...

You are awesome, Adam! That has nothing to do with the fact that you enjoyed this AAD. You're awesome anyway, but thank you for listening to it and saying that you like it so much!

You are awesome, [strike]Adam![/strike] Niveous! That has nothing to do with the fact that you enjoyed this AAD. You're awesome anyway, but I particularly appreciate the heads up about the links. I was very, very tired when I finished the album and I may not have caught that until much later today had you not noticed. Thank you!

Heh. Yes, that's because I decided to add capital letters in the other names for some reason. I'm a dope that way. Should be fixed now. (I would have said cut and pasted the whole 'you are awesome' thing, but that bit was getting old, and you already know it's true.)

I would be impressed if he updated it with my AAD, because I finished it less than 5 hours ago, but it's good to know that he has gotten back to updating it now and then. Ditto on the 'You are awesome' thing.

Thanks, y'all! I'm attempting to function on roughly 2 hours of sleep, but it was worth it!

ROCK!

Yeah, but you know you'd get the compliments too! Thanks for listening, Sam!

You might also be interested in knowing that Rachael and I played a gig together recently, and 'I Don't Want To Be Your Friend' made it into our setlist again. It's such a great song, and it's very fun to sing with my wife. You and Erin are wonderful songwriters, and wonderful people too!

ROCK!

Yep, great work, Glenn. I really like "Sweet Canadian Mullet" followed by "Ahhh...How are You Doing". But they're all great.

I'm still loving this album. "Sweet Canadian Mullet" keeps popping into my head every now and again, and I go back to the album for that hook, then I listen to the whole thing. Wow, it's so good! Glenn, is that you playing the drums too?

Me and the band did one yesterday, called Baby Steppin': here's a link to the page on my website.

Alternately, songs:
01. Like a Phoenix from the Ashes, So Too Does Theophilus Monk Rise Again: Stu on guitar and Casey on keys. The overture of the second album.
02. Boulder Song: Theophilus Monk's Rush and Albert Camus-inspired prog number. Guitar by Stu, bass by Casey, vocals and lyrics by me, percussion by Casey and Stu.
03. Tea for Stu: Lyrics and vocals by Casey and Stu, guitar by me. I wrote the music to this one, in a reversal of usual roles.
04. Lolcat Variation II
05. Grindin' U: A slow jam from Theophilus Monk. Vocals and lyrics by me, keyboard, bongos, and flute by Casey, guitar by Stu, bass written by me and performed by Stu. Stu and Casey on background vocals.
06. Job Diddley: A consideration of Job. Saxophone performed by Casey, me on bass, Stu on guitar. Featuring the Bo Diddley beat in a blues scale.
07. Lolcat Variation III
08. Fuck You Polka: Our polka, which goes from 2/4 to 5/4 to 3/4 to 5/4 to 2/4. Stu on guitar, me on vocals, Stu and Casey on keyboard percussion, and Casey on bass and keyboard accordion.
