Thanks again JB for having me on the series. I thought of this when I was working on two songs this weekend (next title and non-Song Fight) and how my writing process for these was both the same and different than Smoke. All started with some kernel of an idea - Smoke explained in video, Comes Apart with a chorus I started singing and wrote out immediately and built the song around, the other with the idea of a lyrical story and how to shape that emotionally with the music (yet despite that struggling mightily to create lyrics for the already put-together music). Then the fleshing out and the physical challenge of creating the parts, SO many takes, and the unique production challenge of each song... I'm really interested to see what this series brings next and how others approach the creative process. This is such a cool thing you've got going on!
