Short on time again, which will be a chronic thing for me for weeknights.

I like that experimental vibe, very cool.

I used my "work" day productively today and wrote and recorded this one, all about how I wish I liked GBV, but I don't.

Haha, nice one. Sounds great, too.

I've got a electronic drums/bass plus Rhodes and electric guitar instrumental for tonight. I'm not really sure if I'll be able to do any songs with vocals during the week now that I think about it, due to timing and noise levels and Erin's schedule. We'll see though.

For today I started collaborating on a new Song Fight entry. No recording to show for it today. My January 4th work is up now in the current fight, in the Berkeley Social Scene song. I did the bass and guitars for that on the 4th.

Going off-piste a little but yesterday I helped out with drums for a GOM song, and today I wrote my entry for the next fight but I want to spend a bit of time on it so not posting anything for the SECOND DAY in A ROW 😲

This is still encouraging me to be super productive though.

Instrumental electronic music again but this time I'm using a bunch of virtual classic synths, a Fairlight, Jupiter, Moog, and Prophet.

Really enjoying your instrumentals Sam! Excellent wobbly synth work.

I recorded the Song Fight entry that I wrote yesterday for today's song. It's my favourite of the month so far I think!

Thanks! I've been enjoying all your stuff. Tonight it's ... another instrumental. I also worked a little bit on a new Song Fight entry and had a music idea I'm hoping to have time to flesh out into a Lunkhead Song Fight entry this weekend.

This sounds like the start of a joke, "...walk into a bar. One said to the other, 'Make some room, Moog over.'" Or something...

I started working on an ELO cover today but I think I need to take a break and finish it tomorrow.

I tried to write my own song for the next Song Fight title and wound up dashing off a punk rock song in a few hours.

I've only got a cheesy rock band instrumental jam to show for tonight. I've got a new collaboration to work on that I hope to get to tomorrow.

Getting a bit experimental today, this one was made with two iPad apps (Gauss for the tape loop stuff and Drumcomputer for the beats) and I mostly tweaked them live as I recorded into Reaper, with just a little bit of editing afterwards.

Probably a bit long but I kinda like it!

Sad, slow piano improvisation today. Was going to skip today entirely but this came to me while practising and I liked it, so I hit record.

Sounds great! Synth-tastic. What did you use for the vocoder? It sounds really good.

Thanks! It's just Reaper's built in vocoder with u-he's Hive synth used as the modulator.

I'm feeling a little burned out this week. Probably doesn't help that the weather has been terrible so I haven't even been able to go for a walk to clear my head. Not sure how much music will be forthcoming, although I'll try to regroup at the weekend for at least a couple more songs.
