Hanky Code wants to cover your song

I apologize for getting these out so very very late. When I started this project I had a lot of free time and it seemed very possible to churn out two songs per week indefinitely. Things got busy immediately after I started this thread, and they haven’t let up. But I still happily intend to do all of these cover songs, and I intend to do cover songs for any more bands who list Song Fight songs in this thread (see initial post for guidelines).

This collaborative angle has been fabulous: working with guest lead vocalists continues to be fun and rewarding. Special thanks to everybody for being such great talents and great sports.

Since some of you have been waiting six months or more for a cover already, please feel free to revise your list of 3 songs if your preferences have changed.

Thanks so much for the cover! The vocal delivery here is really nice, and I like what you’ve done with those synths. Sounds really great overall.

But… you said this is covered by HPH here??

The guy who produces my songs is working up a full version of this song, too, for an upcoming EP. It will be interesting to compare the two versions. Keep up the good work!

Originally a really cool G&G number, I added some instruments and found the perfect voice for lead vocals: Smalltown Mike! You rotten bastards don’t deserve it this good, but here it is anyway.
