maybe there should be a forum/subdivision/whatever for official fights vs. side fights?

I believe I made numerous suggestions that a Sidefight forum be created.

Maybe, but Hxaro isn't really a fight at all.

Hxaro is not a competition. It's not a sidefight.

huh?

anyway, all i wanted to know was what fight this thread is for. forgive me if i didn't pay attention to every single thread on the old board, so i have no idea what this one is for. just a little explanation is all that's required.

and sober, it's amazing, with all the many times i'm sure you suggested it, that this is the FIRST TIME I"VE SEEN THAT SUGGESTION FROM ANYBODY. christ. give people a new toy and all they do is fuckin' gripe at the dude trying to make them all happy.

Anyway... don't sweat it man!! The NEW TOY ROCKS!!!

... I did see that suggestion a few times myself though....

not that it matters...

...uh... bye.

I just looked through all the posts in the "Complaints and Suggestions" forum, and it's not mentioned. Please don't expect me to notice anything that isn't posted in there or the QA forum.

I'm very fond of songs by the JBB. Feel free to cover one of those, I'm sure he won't mind.

Yeah, I was going to repost the thread yesterday, but I couldn't thinki of a suitable place to post it. Nice attitude, Admin..

Original Hxaro thread was created by Niveous as a kind of extension of 'songfighter gush' thread. If there is someone you like/respect their music, you do something creative as a way of saying thanks.

Quality is not as important as the act of genorisity itself, although the harder you work at it, the better an expression of the good intention behind it.

It is not a reciprocal thing, although it is hoped that people are inspired to pass on little gifts to other people who inspire them.

No prize, no competition, no deadlines. Just being nice to people who you think deserve a little songlove.

It might better as a sub-thread of 'Songfighter gush' rather than a side-fight. But to be dismissive about a thread in which a dozen songfighters have taken the time to do cover versions of/songs for other songfighters for no other reason than they like the songfighters in question deserves better than 'whatever Hxaro is supposed to be', in my opinion.
