five years ago this week..

Has anyone else noticed that this weeks "Five Years Ago This Week" fight was "Zero 2 Phantom" and "ABCD Puppies"... which is funny because the fight in 2004 was a replay of titles from 2001?

Revival of something that was already a revival of something even older.. surprisingly common in music when you think about it.

Dave Matthews' cover of "All Along the Watchtower" was okay, but the original by Jimi Hendrix was so much better, right?

Bob Dylan's is the original. Hendrix's is a cover.

Dylan liked Hendrix's better and has performed it in that vein ever since.

And if Hendrix had heard XTC's version he never would have bothered.

Hairspray 2: White Lipstick
"Hairspray": dvd sales. It became the talk of the town in 2007 when it set the record for the biggest opening for a movie musical. Although the record was later broken by the release of "Mamma Mia!", the movie went on to be the fourth highest grossing musical in U.S. cinema history(ishiner).
