FAWM 2010

Post by The Weakest Suit »

FAWM is just about upon us again. I've been a FAWMer longer than a SongFighter and I'm really looking forward to another go at the February monster. Pre-emptively, I've taken all 4 mondays off of work in February. Add me to your watchlist. Any other SongFighter participants?

Yeah, I'll be in again. Gotta beat last year's debut of 2 songs.
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D

I am likely to be in again. Admitting I have a problem is the first step.

I've considered a Wizard Rock album for this FAWM, but I think I'd feel like too much of a geek.

But I'm gonna give FAWM a try regardless. New Therman album perchance?

I'm still debating this. I'm doing a song-a-week project in 2010, so I'll have at least four songs in February regardless, and I might just do 10 demos on top of those. But man, I'm just not sure how suicidal I feel this year.

Yes, I'm going to do it. Fifth year in a row. I thought it was my sixth but what do you know, I'm not so old after all :)

The first two songs in this list. I think it's off to an alright start. I give myself an A- so far. There'll be a new one up every Tuesday morning in 2010, so you know when to check. Plus, anyone on Songfight has a standing offer to collaborate with me anytime this year.

I will likely under-perform, again, in FAWM this year.

The Zinkline albums often have some concept stringing through them...I often come up with other ideas during the month that don't fit, so I am offering lyrics to any band that comes looking.

I might take you up on that. I have never done FAWM - but I may have some time this year to do something.

I am due to be unemployed in about 2 weeks time. Actually - I will probably be "self employed" as I am thinking of starting my own consultancy. So that will be essentially very similar to being unemployed.

You'll probably have a sizable list of people taking you up on this. But I'd love to do a SF collab some time in the future with you.

I'm likely going to be in on this again too. Hopefully I will be including some collaborative efforts with some local talent too. More on that as it materializes.

Songfight album might be fun.

So, so far, FAWMing SFers are: The Weakest Suit, Furrypedro, Rone, Ross (maybe), Reist, Generic (maybe), Zinkline, Roymond, Caravan Ray (maybe) and me? Did I miss anyone?

God, i better get my watchlist up to date.

I'm getting so excited about this I keep writing new songs, I think I'm gonna run out of ideas before February even starts. What a dummy.
