OK I am 99.9% finished. Just need to have a final listen in the car CD this morning.

I still haven't organised webspace for myself. Can I send an mp3 to somebody?

I'm looking forward to hearing everyone's songs.
Hope my giftee doesn't hate me for butchering his classic favorite. ;)

I'm afraid I'm just going to be a stiffer this year. I'm sorry, but my cover is not done, probably won't be done this evening, and I'm not sure it'll get done in the foreseeable future. I'm not enthusiastic about the source material, and it's weighing me down. If someone from the no-stiffee committee would like to contact me, I'll tell you which unlucky participant got me, and you guys can get a head start on saving their (late) Xmas. Mine may eventually surface, but not in anything resembling a timely manner. I'll recuse myself from future GOMs. Sorry, guys.

Song is finished and shipped off. This was a lot of fun. I never heard of the song or the artist that I covered and now I'm a fan. Thanks.....person that I covered a song for. :D

Nur Ein! No that's not right.

Alright! It's a meager offering, but I've officially sent in my first contribution to an event in the SongFight family... of events. Being all new here, I don't know if there's a listening party, or just a place where all the songs will be posted up, or what... but I assume I'll hear something from someone via some means of communication at some point. Regardless, my file is sent and I'm in the clear. Woo!

Also! Glad to hear that your studio is recovered enough to allow you to kick this project in the pants, Mr. C. Ray sir! (Did you have to wear your Wellies while slogging through the mix?)

^ Funny you said that Em, because I pictured him recording in knee high rubber boots wading through a foot of water and poisonous frogs. :D

If you are over 18 and have a valid credit card, I will happily send you photos of myself in nothing but knee high rubber boots and a strategically placed poisonous frog. That pictorial series is very popular with my regular customers.

...and funnily enough, the is the feedback I most receive after my regular customers have received my "Frog and Gumboot" series.

Funnily enough, that would be my feedback on using CR's "FaG".

Any news on when these songs go up? Even if my gifter didn't come through, I really love listening to all the covers from the familiar voices and styles of our community. It makes it that much more enjoyable.

No news. Eddie marches to the beat of a different drummer. We are left to wait.
