nobody sent me a PM.

Given the suggested timeframe, lack of interest, and the typical litany of excuses the average songfighter has for not submitting on time, ain't happening. At least any time soon. Sorry. I got Carpenters Fight! to finish up anyways.

You're on your own BLT. Hey, how come no annual pictures of your big meal yesterday?

That is funny. You aren't the only one asking that, lol. Now I feel I've let down the interwebz. I even had two this year, one on Wednesday for relatives leaving on Thursday, and On Thursday. I was quite busy, but well lubricated. :P
Maybe I'll take a pic of my famous t-day leftover sangwich. Turkey, yams, green bean casserole, stuffing and cranberry relish. Too bad I can only eat those once a year.

Oh, and it looks like I have a collab partner for this. I just hope people aren't expected to do a song every 2'ish days for a month, or I'm very out of this. Not to mention during Christmas while I have a lot of entertaining going on.

I thought we each had to do a whole album and that they were due on these particular days. Am I con-fuss-Ed?

Just a suggestion - I don't care either way. I wasn't around for the original one, so I don't know how it was done. I'm seeing FBF tonight, I'll ask him.

Nah, actually this is harder because I did a bunch of songs in FAWM without lyrics. And that was when I only had one kid instead of two :)

I see nothing here that says you can't have an album of instrumentals.

The second kid, well, that's no-one's fault but you and the missus :)

I hate to offer excuses, but I was sick for a week. I offer up evidence in my entry fo A Convesation fight, in the form of a fractured gravel voice. Anyway, I have three songs finished for this. But, when I was sick, I wrote lyrics and recorded all of the music for the other nine. Now just to sing them. Or vocalize, if you prefer. ;) Another week, and I'm in.

Ha! You bastard! Here I was, scrambling and feeling ashamed that you were going to post links and all that, TODAY, by your timeline, and you didn't even do it! Sheesh! Anyway, I feel better now. Suggestion: Perhaps if you are doing FAWM, which I am not, you might incorporate this into it? Then we could both have until, say, the 29th, to complete? It looks more like Album Trade-off, anyway. This would allow me to complete other projects as well.

CRAP on a CRACKER! I was gonna do this to but I forgotteded and am scrambling to do other stuff I'm behind on!!!

The FAWM thing sounds like a good solution, if it's what other people are doing.

(other people are allowed to do this, right? I just forgot because I am behind on every dang Thing!)

Everyone is allowed to do it. We have the lyrics written for ours, and some song structures in place.

Oh! Well I certainly wasn't stating that it was exclusive to J$ and me, I hope I didn't come off that way. Thought we were the only ones doing it. Please! The more the merrier and especially if it brings some 'Thorpe this way!

We have been working on this for years. We will not be respecting the proposed timeline. Or any timeline. However, this IS an incentive to push it forward toward completion.

I finished mine over the weekend and loaded it up today. I don't know how to make one of those stream all thingies, and don't have time to research right now. One of my guidelines was to keep them all under 3 minutes, and I did, even if I had to snip a fade out on one. Here they are. Paco del Stinko - Album Fight! 2012

I used the same titles that JB and all of the others used. I used a somewhat strict approach to keep things uniform, instead of widely colored as I would usually do. I used the same acoustic and electric guitar, bass, amp and settings, and my old 80's drum machine throughout. Everything is panned, effected, etc., the same for all 12 songs. I also made an effort to keep them all under 3 minutes, so the whole thing clocks in under 34 minutes total. While they could all be better, I like them, for the most part.
Bringin' the stink since 2006.
